So heartbreaking but so beautiful
This is one of the’ you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.’ Kind of story.I didn’t put this book down, I was so invested in the storyline and the characters and hoping that they got their HEA.I’m a huge lover of second chance romance, marriage in trouble and a tonne of grovelling so I knew I would love this book. It was so emotional and gripping, I just loved both dom and Ali.Alessandra was taken for granted and out second behind Dominic’s work and decides enough is enough. She is putting herself first. I loved Ali, she really put dom through the wringer. She had him crying, begging and doing absolutely everything to get her back and show her that she meant to world to him.Dominic was like a man possessed, he knew what he was losing and wanted to do everything to get her back. Loved his possessive side and the things he does to try and win her over.I flitted between wanting Alexandra to smash her independence and show him what he is missing, but then when it switched to doms pov , I was so heartbroken I wanted her to forgive him straight away.I wished there was more grovelling and a little more angst, I didn’t find myself as invested into the background happenings as much as the other books. I wanted more of their love story too maybe? Loved the little cameos of the other characters too. King of Wrath is firmly my favourite in this series still.4.5*

Heartbreaking, heartfelt and beautiful
I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t expect much because I don’t like the marriage in trouble trope, nor do I like already married MCs, but it was a delightful experience. The characters were entertaining, multi-dimensional and relatable, the romance was captivating, and the plot was certainly more intriguing than the second book, not more than the first one though. However, my heart was breaking for Dom even though I knew he was at fault to begin with. I also wasn’t a fan of the time jumps, past, present, future, it doesn’t matter, I prefer them to be taken into parts rather than interrupting the flow of the story.Dominic started off as ambitious and greedy, but it didn’t stem from a negative place. He just didn’t, or rather couldn’t, stop to enjoy what he already had because of his past. His motivations were justified, it was his execution that caused issues. That man knew how to grovel both with words and actions. The way he loved Ale, once he realised the consequences of his actions, was so beautiful. When he wasn’t greedy, he was incredibly devoted to Alessandra. He needed to relearn how to enjoy what he already had, and it took time, but if anything, Dom was determined, and it was clear in the way he put everything aside just to get Ale back.Alessandra, on the other hand, started off as the “perfect”, supportive wife, putting herself aside to cater to Dom. However, once she started to rediscover herself and put herself first, it was interesting to watch her growth not only alone, but the way she treated Dom. It was more and more visible as she regained her confidence and found herself again. Although I understood why it took Ale so long to allow Dom back in her life, I did feel bad for Dom because we, as readers, could see his thoughts and feelings in his POV, whilst Ale was completely blind to them since she couldn’t see into his mind. The romantic journey they went through to resolve their relationship absolutely broke my heart and mended it back together. It was full of love, hurt, anger, care… years and years of struggling but indefinite love. And the scenes that showed their relationship before their issues started were everything I didn’t know I needed. It added not only to their personalities, but to their relationship as well. What bothered me though was the time-jumps. I understood the need to show both the characters’ past and present, but the way it was executed took me out of my comfortable little reading zone. I prefer when different times are represented in different parts, maybe by creating separate sections for them such as Part 1: Past and Part 2: Present. When the scenes are jumping between times, it can be disruptive.Whilst I adored the romantic and dramatic journey Ale and Dom went through, and absolutely loved them as characters, the pacing of the memories bothered me a bit, and so it affected my experience with the book. Therefore, King of Greed got 4/5 stars from me.

Realism
So, although these are my thoughts, I would like people to read the book and form their own opinions; because I have seen where I have liked a book other have not and vice versa. So please read it and give it a chance.Okay so.. firstly this book really really frustrated me for majority of it. I felt like, I slowed down reading post the half way point, because I just couldn’t pick it up and read it. I was like I want to read it to see how the story pans out and because I want to continue with the series, but honestly I was very close to DNFing the book. But I am happy that I didn’t, because the ending and the bonus chapter were really good. But I also have to say for 90% of the book the highlights for me were finding out Vivian is Pregnant and watching Dante take care of her and then the diving scene where Josh and Jules make an appearance.I just think there was one, too much realism rather than escapism and two, I don’t like the blame game; yes Dominic was first and foremost at fault for the breakdown of their marriage; but Alessandra was not blameless at all. You can’t just sit and not say or do anything if you are not happy in your relationship, you need to voice your concerns and communicate and then give the other person a chance to work on this with you. Don’t just stay quiet and then when you have had enough, just up and leave.Don’t just think one time arranging a marriage counselling appointment is enough. He didn’t turn up to the first one, not because he didn’t want to, but because he got busy with his work, and no I am not saying that is an excuse, but to just leave it at that and not try to book another appointment. To be very honest, it came across as she did not try hard enough. Alessandra was thinking Dominic had changed and she was no longer a priority to him; but she didn’t even try hard enough; it was as if she was lazy about trying. He didn’t tell her to sit at home and do nothing. He didn’t restrict from doing anything. And nor did her tape her mouth or tie her tongue.I am yet to read King Of Sloth and I know there are three more books to follow in this series, but currently I think King Of Greed is my least favourite in the series and my least favourite Ana Huang book.I’m still going to say please pick up any Ana Huang book and you will love it. Because not enjoying 1 out of 7 is not going to put me off, because I absolutely loved all of the books of Ana’s that I have read.

A Captivating Series!
My daughter was gifted Volume 1 of Ana Huang’s book collection, and after seeing how much she enjoyed it, I decided to purchase Volumes 2 through 4 for her. She couldn’t put them down! Ana Huang has a wonderful way of creating relatable characters and engaging storylines that draw readers in from the start. Each book builds beautifully on the previous one, with a perfect balance of romance, drama, and emotional depth. My daughter especially loved the strong, complex relationships and the exciting twists in the plot. This series is perfect for fans of contemporary romance who are looking for something fresh yet deeply moving.I highly recommend this collection if you or a loved one enjoys character-driven stories with a touch of passion and suspense. My daughter can't wait to see what Ana Huang writes about next!

my favourite Ana book so far
This has to be the best book Ana has ever written. I can't begin to describe how sad I felt when I read the first half of the book. I couldn't believe my eyes even though I fully knew the tropes going into it, I was so broken over what I was reading. I loved the grovel, I loved the inner monologue in Dom's head, I love that Dom learned Portuguese for her. I loved that Alessandra did what she needed to do, that she opened up her own shop, that she followed her heart. I loved it all.Okay, on to the things I didn't like: 1) Every time Dante or Kai were referenced in the book the repeated sentence would follow "owner/CEO of a billion dollar conglomerate". Huuney we get it, they're rich. We already knew that from the other two books... 🥱 2) What happened to the SEC investigation?? all of the sudden there was no mention of it? Did it just disappear? 3) was I the only one who felt like that ending was very rushed? like the last 10 precent was just haphazardly put together? Please tell me I'm not alone in feeling this wayEven though I just spent some time going into detail what I didn't like I still think this book was delicious! I couldn't get enough of it and I wished it was longer.

They say that no one knows what they have until they see it lost and this book is a graphic depiction of that. It is a book that touches the soul because of the issues it touches on but the way true love prevails is heartwarming. You have to read it.
