Best Value Roku in 2025
This Roku Ultra LT is it very good value for money in 2025. Although it is a prior Year's model, it is very snappy and is a massive upgrade from the Roku Express that I was using. The picture quality is excellent and streams 4K HDR without hesitation. Wi-Fi connectivity is excellent even with my access point clear across the house. The quick response time and the voice input makes this very easy to use. Although it is a larger Roku unit, it is still no bigger than a DVD. Would absolutely recommend and buy for Grandma.

Easy to use, high quality, great bonus features
Easy to use, sleek appearance, great features. In addition to subscribed streaming such as Netflix, I am able to watch sports, news, viral dog videos for free. Hardware looks to be designed with high quality material, user interface looks great and is easy to use for watching a broad selection of programs.

Good for a first Roku or any standalone streaming device purchase!
This is the first time I purchased a Roku streaming device. I do not have any kind of standalone streaming devices since I’ve always used video game consoles for streaming. I purchased for my mom so she could stream movies in her living room and it’s an amazingly easy set up. The ethernet input is a plus and the Roku does have Wi-Fi capability so you can connect it wirelessly to your home/office router. I chose the ethernet connectivity for optimal speeds. The microphone feature in the remote is convenient and helps looking up movies a lot easier. The 3.5mm headphone input built in the remote is a pretty cool feature too. The 3.5mm earbuds are included along with power source and an HDMI cable. Overall, the image looks great, and I feel that the money is worth the value of the product based on its features. The 4K resolution makes any high-def movie look smooth. I’m someone who’s happy still watching standard definition movies myself because I like the graininess of films but that’s besides the point. I felt it was a good buy. All apps are available, including the major streaming platforms and others may need to be downloaded which is pretty simple to do. To relaxing times ! Cheers!-Josh

Nice step up from my old Roku Express
I've had a Roku Express for several years. When my daughter gave me a tv for the bedroom I had the perfect excuse to move the Express to the bedroom and buy a more modern player for the living room. The Ultra LT gave me the biggest "bang for the buck". The Ultra has better specs if you have a tv that can take advantage of them, but I don't. So I got all the functions I needed and saved a few bucks. The Ultra LT works very well. My only complaint is the location of the volume control on the side of the remote - it's too easy to accidentally press the volume or mute buttons.

I LOVE my Roku
I've heard the saying before, "I LOVE my Roku" but never understood why until I tried this streaming service. I avoid wireless devices and rely on wired to avoid electromagnetic fields as much as possible. When researching steaming services, I kept hearing good things about Roku but was ignorant about what I needed to get it going and what any additional items needed to get it hooked up and use it.FWIW, for anyone that may find themselves in a similar situation, they may also need the following items in order to stream (depending on what you already have):1) An ethernet cable that connects the Roku to the router. 2) An HDMI cable to connect the Roku to the TV.If you have more than one TV or device that you need to access the internet with, you might need an Ethernet switch (network hub) that will accommodate more than one TV or device.Even though I'm an average to advanced computer user I still had reservations about getting the Roku set up. Two Roku's were purchased for each [NON-smart] TV. After both were connected (easy to do), I referred to a YouTube video explaining how to set/program the Roku. To my surprise, it went smooth and amazingly easy. Roku did a wonderful job at simplifying it --so much so that most could do it without incurring problems (barring complications beyond one's control).I have been using my Roku for several months now and LOVE it! There have been electrical outages due to weather and the Roku had no problem restarting.I will never go back to cable TV again. Roku offers a good number of movies & TV shows to watch. It's easy to figure out and program. Friends have often heard me declare, "have I told you lately how much I LOVE my Roku?"In short, I could not be happier.
