Custom SLR Prodot Shutter Button Upgrade - Red (Pack of 2)

I've been using these little Pro Dot cuties ( both black and red) for about a year now on various Nikons... They really do give a good secure tactile grip on the release button, especially good in the wet or at night, and I've had no problems with them coming loose, tho even if I had, they're cheap enough to replace. Make sure you have them central before sticking down - you can manipulate a little if it goes wonky but better to do it carefully in the first place. Recommended.

First class addition to camera, easy to fit and even though my camera is in and out of my bag every day the shutter button cover has not moved. Would certainly recommend to every camera owner.

The shutter button on my Nikon D7100 is not always easy to feel as it is level with the body and the other buttons on the top plate which means I always have to check visually that I am pressing the right button. This stick on accessory is great as, even in the dark, I know which is the shutter button. Some buyers have said that the adhesive gave way soon after sticking it on. Yes, that happened to me as the Nikon shutter button is slightly convex. However, I carefully re-attached the Prodot upgrade and it has remained glued on for the last couple of months. For me, a very worthwhile investment.

Have used these before and personally I like them as they help you find the shutter button easily and also give good grip. Recommend the seller as delivery was super quick.

In theory these are a great idea and when they are in place, they are good. However, the adhesive just is not strong enough to withstand putting the camera in and out of a bag. As a result, they tend to slide, making pressing the shutter more of a challenge.

Despite sticking them to impeccably clean shutter buttons these fell off after half an hour's use. Not only that but they left all their adhesive on the shutter buttons meaning the product was faulty not my application.

I find that it makes a big difference when finding the shutter button as a lot of them now are nearly flush to the camera body.

use it all the time.as it is raised up it helps me take the photo when i want to,no lag no having to push button all the way down.took a star off for the price should be cheaper

En revanche, je vais devoir faire attention au rangement dans le sac photo car je pense que cet accessoire peut se décoller assez facilement. C'est la raison pour laquelle je retire une étoile. Ca reste quand même un peu cher pour ce que c'est. Je reviens sur mon premier commentaire. A peine posé, cet accessoire se décolle tout de suite. Et mon appareil photo n'a même pas quitté mon domicile. Un gadget qui aurait pu être utile mais qui se révèle inutile.

I first started using these ProDots about ten years ago on all my Nikon DSLR's. Since moving to Sony mirrorless, I felt something was missing from my shooting experience. I finally realized what it was; I was missing my ProDots! These tiny little seemingly insignificant pieces of rubber really transform the camera and allow me to not have to think so much when trying to find the button; my finger feels the rubber nub and immediately goes to it. It feels nice and soft, and the tactile feedback when using the ProDot is so much better than a hard button. The ProDot has been extremely helpful for me as I transitioned to new equipment where the record button is separate from the shutter button on my Sony ZV-E1. I put a ProDot on the video record button and it's made all the difference for me. Highly recommended. While I rated adjesion low, this is actually a good thing. I've had the ProDot get stuck against a SmallRig frame once, and the button popped right off instead of pulling the camera's button out. This is good for the safety of your equipment and I believe is by design. I always purchase a few extra to have on-hand just in case I lose one, but that's a small price to pay for the knowledge that a ProDot isn't going to pull the button out of my camera.
