It does everything it says in the ad. I got it specifically to go a brake job on a VW. It worked flawlessly. Since then I've used it for several other diagnostics. It's easy to use. I sorry really like the case. It's definitely a step up from parts store diagnostics. It's a good value considering all it does.

This lil On-Board Diagnostic tool (OBD2) is absolutely necessary to have if you deal with cars, even if only in menial ways. This particular device allows you to view and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and tells you how many times the car has warmed up and gone through diagnostic cycles since the trouble codes were last cleared. If you are buying a used car you should use this to gather exceptionally important information, like if it has been tampered with or codes cleared before inspection to remove check engine lights. This one also has a battery tester, which is huge. Normally you would have to take the battery out of the car to get it tested for health and reliability. This is a better than average model that has a LIVE DATA STREAM which can tell you if the engine is misfiring, if there are any issues you can only be diagnosed as the vehicle is running. There is a learning curve but just be intuitive, open to interpret what you're seeing and how it relates the car. it say's it's compatible with most vehicles of a certain age. I got this on sale but here on amazon it's still below retail from the manufacturer. The value is entirely there. When you first get it you may want to go get the free firmware update from the Ancel tech website. While it may not offer the same features as a $1,000 model, it still has graphs and real time data, this thing is golden!

Perfect fit, hard case that protects the tool while it’s in my tool bag. Nice design.

I bought it to test batteries. It works well but the charging tests are not documented at all in the manual and really need a second person to do since the cord isn't long enough to bring the meter in the cab while you are running the engine up.

I bought this case because it was the only one that had the same name brand as the OBD2 scanner that I purchased here on Amazon. It said it will fit this scanner. It arrived very quickly and fits my scanner pretty good along with the cord being wrapped. It is very sturdy and has held up pretty good considering I don't throw it around. It keeps all the grease dust everything off of my scanner and keeps it all tucked away neatly along with the instructions for my OBD2 scanner. I believe this case can also hold other scanners that are slightly bigger as well because there is plenty of room for a larger scanner. I was shocked that this case was so big considering my scanner is so compact but the price was right. It matched my brand of scanner and it zips up with a thick zipper not a cheap flimsy one. I really like that it has a hard shell as well to keep things from crushing my scanner. I would definitely recommend this product.

Works as advertised. Definitely pays itself. I think its a must have for any car driver.

FOR ME IS VERY GOOD!

I didn’t buy the case with the OBD reader but it became apparent that keeping it in the plastic case that it came in wasn’t a great option. I thought it better to keep in the car so it now stores neatly in the sturdy case under the passenger seat . The other benefit is the cable doesn’t need to be coiled to fit in the case so when you plug it into the port you are less likely to have issues with it pulling out which I did have earlier. So I am pleased with the case, it’s well made and the internal compartments keep everything tidy and secure. I would recommend that if you buy the OBD reader also buy the case.

El scanner cabe genial y está muy bien protegido por ella. Además, puedes poner también las instrucciones. Eso sí, un poquito cara, pero merece la pena porque al scanner le sienta de maravilla

Llegó antes de lo previsto Lleva un analizador de baterías pero el cable es corto Se conecta al OBD2 pero en un mini one del 2010 tuve que decirle el protocolo OBD2 que usa El preparatorio de Im es muy completo y para prepararlo para la ITV viene muy bien El manual lo tienes que buscar por Internet Viene con una caja, un papel con primeros pasos, cables de batería y cable USB Este obd su fuerte es la batería y los tests de ITV y de perdida de gasolina También tiene datos en vivo de los cilindros, sondas etc...pero no del cambio automático Pero en fin es muy util para lo que cuesta y en mi caso para ir tranquilo a la ITV que cada vez esta peor con las emisiones Le falta suyo detección de vehículo y de ahí 4 de 5 estrellas
