Crossfire Metal - Guitar Effects Pedal

This pedal is a must for metal chuggers who don't want to pay beaucoup money. The three way toggle provides high boost, no boost, low boost. I prefer the no boost option. The distortion can be cranked to attain snarly riffs. I set the tone control at one o'clock, the level at noon. This pedal works well with a clean amp. A dirty amp takes away from the pick attack and garbles the harmonics. Well worth the money.

The pedal gave decent metal distortion. The tone knob goes from mid scoop to mid boost, but I found the mid boost sound kind of honky. There were usable tones but it was more of a one trick pony than I hoped.

Similar to full bore and metal end. With those others I was not able to filter out the nasely high end. With the crossfire I turn the tone knob completely to bass side and on my amp (I own 3 Hovercraft amp heads which are highly recommended) I turn the treble off completely and turn the presence up half way. This filters the extreme high on this one just enough for rythem chunk. And is awesome for lead soloing. Keeping this one on the board!

The media could not be loaded.  Thick sludgey tones. Plenty of low end but not too much. Articulate with a ton of gain available. Def a sweet pedal for heavy tone people.
