How many in one package?

Approximately 170 -- and yes, we opened one bag just to count them for you. :) By the way, Amazon beats every pet retailers price on these by nearly $1 per bag.

Are these cat treats soft or hard?

They are soft on the inside, not too hard on outside. Can easily be split in half with fingers, which I sometimes do because I don't like my cats swallowing them whole without chewing, and the treat session lasts longer. I don't like to give too many treats at all because cats do not really need the added carbs. Two of my four never had them and so don't ever eat any, no matter what kind (which I think is healthier). These are a better alternative to some of the high glycemic treats that you see everywhere, but they are not gluten free as some trears are....haven't found those typed hat my cats have liked. They LOVE these.

Where is it made doesn't say on package.

It says on the package, "Made in Canada". Also says distributed by the Nutro Company in Tennessee.

$14.50 for 2.5 ounces? What's up with this crazy pricing

You must have been looking under the "buy new or used" tab....some of those retailers are selling for $13-$16 a package. Those are independent sellers who have an Amazon storefront and can price items whatever crazy amount they want.
