NOT safe for cats
Note: I did my own research & included high-level points below; please research yourself before giving to your pet. The second ingredient is propylene glycol which is NOT approved for use by the FDA in cat products, yet this is marketed as safe for cats over 8 weeks old. It is approved in small doses for dogs but noted it can cause issues. This ingredient is not shown in the description and I only saw it after receiving the bottle. Propylene Glycol is derived from Ethylene Glycol, which is antifreeze. Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 - FDA reg ec. 589.1001 Propylene glycol in or on cat food.

Removes tartar, fresh breath!
My vet recommended this product to help reduce tartar and bad breath that my poodle Molly has been having. This product works great - we've been using it for 3 weeks and her tartar has gone down and breath has improved. Thanks VetPro, I will definitely order this again!

Small bottle, doesn't go very far
I have used other, similar products, so I am comparing to these. There's some things I like about this one, but will not be switching because of the bottle size and dosage. This does not have a strong smell like some other products, which smell a bit like Scope--not necessarily a bad thing, but this does have a more natural smell. My two dogs have no problem drinking their water with this in it. The negative for me here is that it calls for adding a capful to 16oz of water. I fill a gallon jug of water at a time and keep near the dogs bowls. So I'm supposed to put 8 capfuls in this gallon jug. The bottle is only 8oz, so I went through this very quickly. I did try it at half dose once (4 capfuls), and it's hard to tell if it's making a difference. My dogs' breath does smell better, but I get this result with other products that come in larger bottles and call for less to be added. So the nice, natural smell of this product isn't enough to make me switch to it. I've researched the ingredients of the Scopey smelling products and there isn't anything concerning in them, so I'll stick with the volume I get with that.

States 2 ingredients
This page states 2 safe ingredients. This bottle states 8 ingredients. One is very concerning the number 2 ingredient propylene glycol. I am going to have to take this to vet and see if it's safe. Very concerning.

Freshens Breath
Pretty darn easy. Vet wanted me to start caring for Fudge's teeth so I just add to water and it helps reduce plaque buildup. I guess teeth health is super important - even for dogs. Fudge hasn't minded his water at all. Thanks Dr. Joseph!! I'll be sure to tell my vet.

Bottle was nearly empty when received
First, the seal on the bottle I received had come loose and the lid was barely screwed on. There were only 2 oz. of the 8 oz. bottle left. I went ahead and tried it in his water a couple of times and I can't say it's a terrible product because I think it did help my dog's breath. But then I read one reviewer's concerns about the propylene glycol. I had no idea what that was but after I did a little research decided I don't want to give it to my dog. Too bad that review didn't go up until the day after I ordered my bottle. I only saw the review when I went online to write my own. What's left is going in the trash. How can you put a potentially toxic chemical in a product (the number 2 ingredient no less) and then market it as safe? Thank you, kindred spirit, for bringing this to everyone's attention.

He drank all 16 oz. of his first taste of this dental cleanse!
In the past, I gave a water additive to my labradoodle to supplement brushing his teeth every night. I ran out of it 6 months ago. My doodle is 5 years old and goes in for his first teeth-cleaning next week. His teeth aren't bad, but I just can't get to the teeth in the back of his mouth and other areas he just doesn't want me to brush. I wanted to find a new additive and ordered this VetPro Complete Dr. Joseph’s Advanced Dental Cleanse. I liked that the Product Page gave a lot of information about Dr. Joseph, and that this dental cleanse is made in USA. I appreciate that the expiration date is 11/2024, a year and 8 mos. from the time I ordered it. It's sealed with a protective lid. It's concentrated, and you just have to mix a capful with 16 oz. of water, which I will keep in a jar in the refrigerator since my doodle likes cold water. He gets very thirsty when I have him fetch and retrieve his toys that I roll or throw down the hallway. He drank all 16 oz. of his first taste of this dental cleanse! If he drinks that much all the time, I will run out of this bottle before I know it. I am hoping it will be a good, safe alternative for my fur boy. I just wish it wasn't so pricey.

May be ok for some dogs but not ours.
After giving this, per instructions, to our healthy110 lb. German Shepherd for 3 days our dog began to have loose stools, became very restless and uncomfortable to the point she was constantly pacing and would not laydown which led to a sleepless night for her and I. She had never acted like this before. This was the only change made in her diet. I stopped treating her water with the dental cleanse and she improved. I would be very cautious in using this product.
