It's beautifully backed up by many different research studies and multiple facts. Plus, lots of funny insightful jokes that made me hard to stop reading and I had to finish the book asap. Probably, I became a very annoying person now to all of my friends and other poor creatures who can't start a normal conversation with me without me shoving the facts in their faces and convincing them that this book is what they need in their lives.

I got this book for a leadership course, and after reading it, it has become one of my favorite books. Knowing it was written in 2022 post-pandemic. It gives a lot of really amazing advice, and current evidence that a lot of books don’t have, I was enthralled with barkers, storytelling and use of evidence seamlessly in an innovative and playful way. I would 100% recommend this to others as it’s a fun read with a lot of great information. 😁🐾💕

This is definitely a book for the modern age, an era of individualism, depression and loneliness. It's not me saying that, it's been shown extensively by research. Eric Barker, whose blog I greatly enjoy, took advantage of the pandemic to get his teeth into the subject of relationships and their importance in our lives. He writes engagingly using stories about real people in real situations, and humour to illustrate the science. It's a fascinating read examining friendship, love, community, appearances and the answer to the meaning of life. No spoiler alerts here...! It's thoroughly researched - check out the 45 pages of references at the end, excellently written and a jolly good read.
