Snatch Block with G80 Chain, 2 Ton, 3/8 in Wire Rope for Tow Truck

Ordered this (2) Ton Snatch Block Kit w/ 4ft G80 Chain & Clevis Grab Hook - 3" Sheave Compatible w/3/8" cable/rope for use in loading/unloading my tractors and trenchers, and when getting stuck in mud on a job site. I dig trenches for water, electric, cable lines and half time I end up getting stuck as it's wet part of time when trenching. I have an electric winch on my truck, and when getting stuck, this is a quick fix as I can hook this up quick and pull my machines out of the mud. This good snatch block makes a big difference as you can pull in different directions/angles to work machine away & out of the mud. This is a smaller snatch block, but very rigid build. (2) tons and a G80 chain (4) ft long with Clevis/hook. Very handy for my needs. Most of my wheeled equipment weighs 2-5,000 Lbs. I like the grease fitting to keep it turning/running smooth. It came with nice painted and smooth finish. Very good for my use as I'm usually alone when digging and when getting stuck, I need all the help I can get at times. This tool is a life changer for me. I got this specifically because of its smaller size. I use it to load a utility type trailer so I don’t need long chains. This works great to attach to what every I am loading and then winch it in the trailer. I’ve used regular chains before and it always seems to be an issue with too much slack or too long of a chain. This allows a short connection point and takes all of the hassle out. It is rated for more then I need so I have a large safety margin. I’ve seen some people use connections rated lower than the winch rating so they are asking for the chain to snap and have a cable come whipping back at them. This is rated just over my winch rating so my winch would bog out before the connection would be able to break. I recommend this as it is a great size for loading items on trailers or pickups.

G80 anchoring chain and clevis grab hook. This snatch block is all there weight-wise but takes up very little space due to its compact size. My old snatch block was lighter but, it was much larger in size and only rated for pulling. The FITHOIST snatch block is rated to pull and lift allowing for a broader range of application. The quality of this snatch block assembly is much better in every aspect and safety is the biggest. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the FITHOIST 2 Ton Snatch Block Kit w/ 4ft G80 Chain & Clevis Grab Hook and consider it an excellent value!

This is a lot more compact that I expected which is great when it comes to squeezing it in my truck's toolbox. At the same time, it's really heavy duty and feels way more than strong enough for a 2 ton working load. The pulley spins smoothly and there's not a lot of excess friction, which helps avoid "skipping" when it's under load. The chain is all machine welded and the individual welds are consistent and of good quality so I don't have any concerns at all about the chain holding up. I've used it to rip up some stumps so far which can really put some stress on a block and this thing performed like a champ. It's just a great bargain for a nice block that can handle whatever you throw at it.

Works as described, I have used it on both cable and synthetic line with no issues. The block bolt is hand friendly, rolls nicely, accepts grease with a fitting, and swivels. Chains are a nice touch, I wish they both were 4 ft long though. Clevis and shackles are fine, overall a handy tool to have around.

Weather you need the mechanical advantage or need to pull from an angle with your winch, it is hard to beat a snatch block. This one checks off all the marks in my book, and comes with the necessary tags to be on the job site. The block itself is held closed by a clevis bolt with a pin for safety. Hooked double chains make up the anchored side of the rigging. Made to work with a 3/8" steel rope it is rated with a 2 ton capacity. Don't let the price fool you, this is as solid as they come. They should be a part of any wrecker, car trailer, roll back and off road tool kit. Costing less than a tank of fuel there is no excuse not having one.
