Northcore Keypod 5GS Black Car Key Safe with Combination Lock

The best one I have tested. This has the nicest locking mechanism, most amount of space and is overall well thought out very well designed product. This is a portable keysafe. Be aware, while there are 10,000 combinations and the mechanism is hard to decode (lock pick), this is more of a temporary solution to a specific need for a key being out in the open but secure, for a while. If you leave this outside your house, someone can come by at 03:00 every day for 5 minutes a day just trying combinations 0000, 0001, 0002 etc until one day they will have the code and have access to your keys or what ever you have inside, at which point assuming you have house keys in there, you are in big trouble. So if you live in a bad area I recommend against using combination locking keysafes or any kind, push button or dial. That said, this is a very secure product for such temporary protective needs. I use keysafes like this in my wardrobe to keep keys together and keep them all in one place so they cannot go walkabout.

Very happy with the price here, used for surfing, festivals, travelling, swimming. Always know my keys are safe in here and feel confident leaving them inside. Not sure if it would keep the rain out? You could also lock up to a fence or similar, or even lock to your bag as a small safe to keep people off your keys and also feels more secure away from the vehicle in some cases.

I bought this for surfing and it works perfectly. Good solid lock that fits around by door handle, and the box has a padded back so that it doesn't scratch the paintwork. Plenty of room for my car and house keys, and my car key is one of those big keyless things so was pleased it all fit inside. Delivery from supplier was also very quick, given that it wasn't Prime Next Day (but was zero charge) and Amazon was quoting like a week. It came within 2 days of ordering. Great service.

After purchasing a Master lock previously and watching my son crack it in under a minute, I bought this one to keep our keys safe. My son was unable to get into it. You'd need to smash your way in and if that's what thieves are prepared to do, then they'd just smash their way into the door or through a window. It's sturdy and you can't fiddle with the wheel to guess the code. Overall I'm pretty happy with this and it was worth paying extra for it.

Easy to use. Plenty of space for modern keys, and a great solution when getting in the water. The rubberised back makes it possible to lock to the car door handle without scratching the paint. Recommended

Keypod completely stuck after using only couple times. Very disappointed. I reached out to northcore directly and how or if there was a solution to keypod issue. They said they could not help as bought on amazon. Zero help. If there is a solution can someone fill me in here thanks. Both the door and the lock mechanism are completely stuck.

Leaving my review 2 years after I bought it. It's now busted. It did freeze a year or so ago, but I was able to get it going again with a bit of WD40. Mo such luck this time. Is 2 years good value for something I used every second day in high-salt environments...? Will let you judge. That said, I'm buying it again. Hard to find a lock box tailored for going to the beach that fits large keys.

This thing is a tank. Pictures just don't do it justice but wow it is really heavy duty and built well. I don't do reviews normally, but after locking myself out of the house a couple times I wanted peace of mind I could hide a key outside and feel safe about it. This locked right onto a house pipe and the four code makes it more secure than many three digit locks. I was extremely pleased with this purchase.

Highly recommended for surfers, kayakers or any one that gets involved in watersports so they don't have to worry about taking their expensive/electronic key. I wouldn't trust the plastic waterproof containers for the keys so this is perfect... Easy to hide underneath the car or just hang it by the door handle if the are is safe enough. A bit of WD40 or white lithium grease will keep it working just fine even when exposed to rain and salty air/water. Heavy and sturdy, good internal size for modern keys.
