I’ve had the Betta SE solar pool skimmer running in my in-ground pool for about a month now, and I’m seriously impressed with how much easier it’s made my pool maintenance routine. First off, the solar power is a game-changer. I live in a sunny area, and this little robot just floats around all day collecting leaves, bugs, pollen, and other surface debris — no cords, no charging hassles. On overcast days, the battery still holds up for hours, and just keeps going! What I love: It cleans constantly and quietly — my pool surface looks clean every time I go outside. The basket is easy to remove and clean. It’s surprisingly large and catches both fine and larger debris. No hoses or installation needed — just drop it in and let it go. It handles saltwater well, and the solar panels are solid and waterproof. Minor considerations worth mentioning: It occasionally gets stuck near the skimmer entrance or pool steps. Not often, but enough to mention. I fixed this by adding the included pool noodle near the skimmer to block it from jamming. Doesn’t always clean tight corners or edges — a quick manual skim every few days helps. Price is a bit steep, but worth it if you hate skimming like I do. Overall, the Betta SE is a great investment if you want to spend less time cleaning and more time enjoying your pool. I’d absolutely recommend it, especially for pools that get a lot of leaves or pollen. Just give it some sunlight and let it do its thing! ✅ Would I buy it again? Yes. 🧺 Would I recommend it to a friend? Already have!

Wow. I am impressed. So totally worth the price. Don't forget to clip the $30 coupon for savings. We bought two. One was even on a Lightning Deal which was $70 off. PROS: 1. The charge capacity is a thousand times better. Ours is cleaning the pool practically 24-hours a day. Seriously, it cleans throughout the night. I was in the yard to get the newspaper at 6 a.m. and happened to glance at the pool and it was working doing its thing. How can that be, I thought to myself, as the sun isn't even out. Then I happened to peek out the window one night around 2 a.m. and the running lights were happily strolling around the pool. Ariel, on the other hand, could never last more than 8-10 hours even in our hot tropical climate. 2. It makes no noise/sound whatsoever. If you've owned an Ariel you know it emits a "put-put" sound when working. You can hear it on the YouTube videos as well. Betta is totally quiet. 3. The Betta comes in blue or white color. If you have a blue-tiled pool you'll want to get the blue model. It blends in beautifully. Ariel only comes in white. 4. Betta is less complicated than Ariel. It just has to be in the ON position. And that's it. On Ariel we had to press the button three times to start it. 5. Betta senses the walls and doesn't run into them like Ariel does. It actually "anticipates" them and changes its thrust to avoid a hard impact. 6. Betta's extended warranty is only $59. We paid $99 for a SquareTrade plan for our Ariel. SquareTrade (Allstate) chose to refund our purchase in full rather than repair it, when it did break on the second year. CONS: None so far. The fine-weave basket is easy to clean. It does a super job. Because it's working throughout the night the pool is perfectly swept of all fine debris all the time. With Ariel, it'll only be swept clean after working for a couple hours. I am elated to have found BETTA. It truly is a betta(h) bot.

My neighbor got one of these a year ago, but I was leery. I've seen, and been the victim of useless contraptions that never delivered when it came to pool skimming. I watched the reviews, did the research, and finally pulled the trigger. THIS WORKS. They finally figured it out & it more than exceeded expectations. I have a lot of vegetation in my back yard, the most annoying of which are three crepe myrtle trees that drop an endless supply of flowers into the pool. When they're in bloom, I had to skim EVERY day and they pool was never clean. This things takes care of all of it, not just some, all. I haven't skimmed one flower since I started using it. I can't get over it. Battery life has been superb. I'm in Southern California, so we get plenty of sun and this thing runs through the night, non-stop. It's very easy to turn on and off and empty the basket. A few tips: - I use the included foam piece to wedge in my wall skimmer to prevent it from sucking and holding the unit. - If you have a vacuum hose that tends to sit on the surface, invest in some weights. I used these: https://www.amazon.com/Nayciiy-Universal-Universally-Compatible-krauly%EF%BC%88Blue%EF%BC%89/dp/B0CDP5MPP2?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 - I pushed the bumpers all the way into the unit so if it does go over the hose, it's less likely to get stuck. - If you have a floating thermometer, consider taking it out so the unit doesn't drag it around.
