Great value (purchased the UK version)
I was looking at the 24 terabyte drive to begin with and found the 28 TB drive was cheaper at the time of my viewing. My plan is to consolidate several drives I have music, audiobooks, and photos on. When I connected the drive it was ready to go to work.Shipping was exceptionally quick and free. The only downside I found on the drive was the lack of a US power cable to connect to US wall plugs. When I got the drive I checked and found the plug is common enough and had a cord available. You can find the power cord here...https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Samsung-Toshiba-Notebook-Computer/dp/B07PDYBCQC/ref=sxin_16_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.8f2f40b3-26c0-4f88-be94-372390ff23da%3Aamzn1.sym.8f2f40b3-26c0-4f88-be94-372390ff23da&crid=2ZIZ4EELHHD7R&cv_ct_cx=2+prong+%5Bpower+cord&keywords=2+prong+%5Bpower+cord&pd_rd_i=B07PDYBCQC&pd_rd_r=3b0b9b38-ffa6-4e29-85f7-2aad2cfe4388&pd_rd_w=W7FlW&pd_rd_wg=5BtVg&pf_rd_p=8f2f40b3-26c0-4f88-be94-372390ff23da&pf_rd_r=8298PGJ5VCBTPE6ESX6M&qid=1678809267&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=2+prong+power+cord%2Caps%2C169&sr=1-2-364cf978-ce2a-480a-9bb0-bdb96faa0f61-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExTUtaUzlNME83TDhaJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjY3NTA3MzVJOEoxTFlOSUpDUCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjI4Nzc2MlVFSVg4SERHTVJMUiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3NlYXJjaF90aGVtYXRpYyZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=Drive meets all my expectations.

Massive Storage, Affordable, Reliable But No WD RED Drives.
Note: Falsely Advertised On Amazon As WD Red Drives. Came With Another Model Of WD Drives. The WD 36 TB (Usable 32 TB) Has 3 Raid Options To Pick From.Has Built In Hardware Encryption (Password Protection Future).Connectivity Is Via USB C, And The Box Had 2 USB Cables (USB C to A, and USB C to C Cable)Also Mine Came With 2 Power Cables (3 pin UK type and 2 pin round type).

There is a loud clicking/knocking sound when running.
The device is fine. I don't mind the loud 'seeking' noise, as I don't have it running all the time. The problem I had was with DHL delivery! They delayed delivery 3 times. This would not have been a problem except I was not notified until after the promised delivery. The first time there was even a 'map app' that showed the item was less than 30 miles away. Just before 10pm, that map and all tracking stopped working. Two different agents, on chat, were less than sympathetic bordering on sarcastic. Conclusion = avoid DHL

Electrical casing failure
This unit stopped working after I disconnected and reconnected the power to the unit. It's not usable now and I've only had use of it for about a month. Storage is good and I think functional but I can't access the data without a working electrical case to connect to it.I see no way of getting help with this since Amazon returns expired 7/5 and it took me too long to troubleshoot. This is a lot of money for a product that didn't last more than a couple of months.

Good product missing a part
I have had several WD products and they have all been reliable. I bought this one to pair up with my new 24 in. IMac on order. When I got my system and went to hook the drive up I was missing the US plug attachment on the power cable plug in. I had the European and Asian adapters but no two pronged US.Instead of returning a purchased a 39$ power adapter and used the European plug to US capability. Seems to work fine. I just think the QC at WD should be better.

Two internal drive failures, nightmare getting warranty service
Immediately after receiving the unit, one of the internal drives failed while copying over data from the old drive. Warranty service was truly atrocious. The return window on the old drive passed while I was still trying to get a simple drive replacement. So I am out $1,200 from that. After FINALLY getting a replacement internal drive, THAT drive also failed within a WEEK.WD says that the drive should be plugged directly into the wall and directly into a computer port rather than go through a USB hub, as that will potentially cause the drive to fail. So don't get this if you don't have plenty of fast USB ports on your computer and plenty of empty wall sockets.Further, it makes this weird double clicking noise every 3 seconds while the drive is spinning but not being read that you can hear across the room. After listening carefully to another WD hard drive, that one makes the sound to, but you can barely hear it, and then only if your ear is close. So this is apparently just a really loud unit. Actual reads are even louder, and frequently accompanied by this grinding sound that is rather alarming when you hear it.While working on this second warranty service, they basically told me I should either buy a new computer or a new NAS drive. The equivalent NAS drive they recommended costs $500 more when ordering the same storage capacity (36 TB). i.e. it's an additional 50% of the cost of this drive. The speed of the device is fine. That's about all I can say in its favor.

Not for US outlets, loud.
I needed a huge drive to download a huge dataset for machine-learning. I got this used for $270 and absolutely would not pay full price for it. After getting an international power adapter, I was able to use this and it's working well enough for the price.Pros:- High CapacityCons:- Was shipped to me with a UK power cord, and I was told by Amazon support that this is normal, despite it not being mentioned anywhere in the description that I could find- Loud, and vibrates heavily when writing- If it's plugged in when your computer boots, it will slow down the boot process while your computer waits for it to finish making loud noises
