Awesome, considering its size and weight
It's a lightweight, comfortable chair. Don't expect it to be your TV room couch :) I bought one and liked it so much we bought a second one for my wife. PRO: - Lightweight, easy to carry - Sturdy - Small - about a 1 liter Nalgene bottle - Puts you at a good level for tending a fire, cooking on a camp stove on the ground, and similar activities. CAVEATS: - Legs may sink in a little on soft ground. If it does, get up and shift it a little to a new spot. - Works best on level surfaces. If you're on a slope, you will either tend to slide out the front of the seat, or tip over backwards. A manageable situation. - Getting in and out. Because this is so low, you may want to modify your technique for getting in and out. To sit down, I straddle a corner of it, heels close to the seat, and sit. To stand up, forget leaning forward and getting up like usual. I find it much easier to turn toward a corner, scooch closer to the corner, bring your heels all the way back almost under the chair - this puts them under your behind. Standing up is a whole lot easier that way with your legs lined up on your center of gravity. CONS - It IS mesh, so if there's a cool breeze blowing, this won't block much of it. Dress appropriately or use a Z Seat.

Comfortable, Light, Stable.
I don't often take a chair with my on longer trips, but I certainly have enjoyed taking this one on my day hikes (2-13 miles). It's so light you don't notice and is very steady (especially with optional ground cloth I picked up somewhere - prevents legs from sinking). This chair works very well, very stable, easy to set up, feels like nothing in my pack. It's so nice to pull up to a river after walking 5-10 miles, sit comfortably and brew some coffee. 100% would buy again. For me, using the ground sheet (can't remember if this was included or if I bought separately) is a must have - probably for any chair to keep the legs from sinking into loose soil or sand. Have to admit it looks sharp as well and fits me - 5'11" and 230 pounds without compliant. Oh, folds up nicely and not a struggle to slip it into my day pack.

Very lightweight, but a compromise in comfort and sturdiness. Great for backpacking.
I bought the lightest chair I could find for backpacking and it fills the need! Backpacking with a chair is a bit over the top IMO, but I'm older now and have some back issues. After seeing others out in the wilderness with a chair, I just had to get one. I skimp on other areas in exchange for a chair. That said, to shave off weight, they had to exchange sturdiness and comfort which makes sense. You need to be careful so as not to tip over as the legs are pretty close together and I would give it 7/10 for comfort. But the only way to fix both these is to beef it up, thus adding weight. So if you looking for a super light camp chair to backpack that is far more comfortable than sitting on a rock or log, then this is for you. If you are car camping, I'd get a heavier one that is more stable and comfortable. I took this to Havasupai and it worked well. I will plan on taking it on more backpacking trips. It also is good if you want a super small/light chair to stuff in your car or store somewhere just in case, or if you are tight on space and want to pack a chair at the next outdoor event just in case. I'll give it 5-stars for the weight, but just know what you are trading (weight for stability and some comfort). Probably the most comfortable chair for it's weight though. Can't really compare this with heavier chairs, not apples-to-apples or fair to the manufacturer as it wasn't designed for car camping IMO. I'm pulling out my Tommy Bahama for car camping or concerts...

< Worth it >
Super light and compact. Worth the money if you are a middle aged woman learning how to backpack. (For the newbs) Being able to sit down anywhere with minimal extra weight in the pack is a game changer. This chair is not the recliner you sit in at home. The first time I sat in it I felt like I was going to fall over. I am so happy I decided to splurge on this chair.

Great ultralight chair, worth the 1.1 pounds.
More comfortable than sitting on the ground but I wish it was a little taller. I'm 6'4", 230 lbs, and 68 years young. It isn't easy to "fall" into the chair and even harder for me to get out gracefully. 🤣 It's not really the chairs fault. It has held up very well even when I fall into it. If it was 6" higher, or if I was shorter or younger, it would be perfect for me. I know it would be a little heavier but it would be worth it for me. I highly recommend it.

Light but not personally comfortable for a 6'3 190lb man.
While it's lightweight and packs down small. The poles dig into my back and the structure of the base allows zero room to lean back comfortably without feeling like the chair wants to topple backwards. (This could be an issue related to my height) The fabric, while light is easily torn and was done so by a flat belt clip for a knife my much lighter friend at 120lbs had in their back pocket when they tried the chair. An easy mistake to avoid, but it tore nonetheless. So the fabric isnt that abrasion resistant and came apart on me after only 2 days of using at camp after a long day of being on the trail. This might work for someone lighter or not as tall however I'll be looking elsewhere. Perhaps the helinox zero high back or the big agnes ul. (Update) the helinox chair zero high back was exactly what I needed. It cradles perfectly and has room to lean into the chair. If you're taller, consider the high back!

10/10 Recommend
Exactly what my husband wanted for his backpacking trip! Easy to assemble and great quality. He brings it with him to the kids soccer games because it's that small and easy to transport.

I went and did it
I’m honestly surprised that I bought this chair as expensive as it is. But I fell victim to the ultralight sickness. I don’t really regret it. It’s so impressive to put this chair together and feel how light it really is. Even more impressive is that it is functional and strong. Obviously, this chair doesn’t have the height or stability of other heavier or more traditional camp chairs. But boy is it cool.
