My daughter wanted this for Christmas, but as she played with her punirune about twice after purchasing that, I couldn’t justify the cost of this.I decided she could have it for her birthday if that’s all she wanted, and actually, it’s pretty brilliant. So good, that actually her older brother wants one too for his birthday coming up soon. This will mean even more that the robot can do, as they apparently communicate, a detail that comes in the documentation with the first one we bought.They are expensive, but what a cool gadget! It looks a bit like E.V.E. from WallE but has loads of things it does. I won’t give any spoilers, YouTube is for that.

If you love gadgets then this is a cool, fun desktop bot. It is cute and funny. Well made.For me is a good buy.

Amazing AI robot and fun to play with, or even just leave it there and let it do its own thing.The missing 5th star is due to the “toys” it came with (that is magnetic and Eilik can hold onto). They are just small plastic toys and comes with sticker and magnet that you stick on yourself, for that price I would have expected the toy already have the magnet embedded inside instead of a DIY job of sticking them on yourself (also comes off quite easily).

I can't complain too much, as it _does_ do what is advertised, which is why I've still given it three stars. It was my own fault and choice for buying. The problem is, once you have it at home, it's a little lacklustre after the first 10-15 minutes. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife, after she'd seen it advertised, and we almost got one each. I'm glad we didn't, as we were both left feeling a little "Okay... is that it?"More thought needs to go into these. Heck, make them wifi and/or bluetooth enabled and allow them to act as interactive characters for when you call someone or they call you. Imagine talking to your partner or a friend, and having them be able to chat through it, with all the cute expressions? Perhaps they could even control the gestures and expressions during a call.I got a make-it-yourself robot for half the price, that is far less 'technically' advanced, but fully bluetooth controlled and can walk around my desk. I've had plenty of fun with that, and it even had everyone trying it out in the office!Eilik doesn't really have much in the way of interaction other than the head or stomach patting, which means you either have it on, being noisy and annoying rather than cute, or collecting dust on the desk. It would get a lot more mileage even with something as simple as a motion sensor, so it could be relatively dormant till you come near, and then waves hello or something, and perhaps react to sounds in some way.Unfortunately it's just a very expensive dust collector. It's a shame, as it's a great little idea and the personality it can portray is nice, but the interaction needed a _lot_ more thinking through.

I bought 2 of these and you connect them together and play rock, paper, scissors, the robot that wins slaps the other one. Most of the time is the boy that wins also. Nothing to learn from these robots. Unless: mini machine gun is something you are looking for.... very pricey too for what they (don't) do. They are not capable to have a conversation with the human. Just recording what you say. some prerecorded music when you make noise. Bought some cheaper before (5 times cheaper) and they were doing pretty much the same, except for one Chinese song. That's new.At the moment, the pink robot stopped working after 9 months
