Easy to use and comfy
I bought this for my 11 year old son just before his first Boy Scout overnighter in a tent this past weekend( last weekend in April 2023. Cold and rainy weekend in New England, overnight temps in the mid 40's). We got it on a Thursday, he set it up once, a little tricky at first but very doable. We went camping on Friday and he had it set up by himself in a couple of minutes. With a sleeping pad and a light summer weight sleeping bag he was warm and dry. I originally bought it to go inside his Teton sole tent but forgot to account for the door size and it did not fit inside, so we just put the tent on top and staked it down. Doing it this way kept the wind from blowing underneath the cot and cooling off the sleeping area, and also created a pocket on both sides of the cot to store small items, flashlight and tablet and a dry area underneath for his boots. He was so happy he didn't get a wet sleeping bag like some of his friends did. I will be recommending this one to other parents. Inside a tent I would add some sort of padding under the feet to prevent wear, kids can be tough on gear.

Did not meet expectations
I'm a heavy guy so I got this hoping it would do the trick. The plastic connectors didn't seem like they would last very long. Once set up and I laid down I could feel and see the tube framing bending quit a bit even though I was under the max weight limit. For the price it just wasn't worth keeping.

Super comfortable easy to carry cot
The hey trip cot is very sturdy for how portable it is. Most cots this size dont pack down easily and are usually bulky. The setup takes just minutes and is easy to do, and the whole cot fits in a easy to carry case.I'm 6'4 and 225 lbs my malamute is about 80 lbd and we not only both fit on the cot, but it didn't creak squeak or show any signs of stress!! This thing is durable!! it has pockets that attach to the side for storing my glasses, cellphone, flashlightCan't wait to try it out next weekend on our trip!

Be careful with assembly/dissambly
Great cot, but- the final assembly step needs a better tutorial. Locking the latching side of the legs requires either great strength or perfect technique. My wife and I, both elderly, could not lock the legs in until we devised a special technique to gain a mechanical advantage. Then when you dissemble it, be careful! If you push both release pins at once the loaded tension comes off at once and the locking lever shoots down at 'the speed of sound' and woe to whatever hand or foot may be in its way! this version of the cot needs a special video to show anyone other than a body builder how to put up and take down. I note that newer versions of it have longer lever arms and quite a different way to snap it together. Wish we'd seen that first. [Once assembled it's quite nice.]

Not bigger
Same size as my individual cot and much lower to the ground and hard to get out of.

Sturdy and easy to setup
Purchased this camping cot because I was looking for a high weight limit cot, and this one had the highest weight limit I could find.It was very easy to setup, and putting it back into the bag it comes with is simple. It sits well off the floor, and feels very comfortable even without a sleeping pad on top of the cot.The material feels heavy duty, and was easy to clean when it got muddy or dirty. Its also not too heavy, so its doable to carry it in with you if you are doing more remote camping. Overall a great product.
