It broke after a week or so. Very unique grinder. But not built to last

We originally thought this was going to be a spice herb grinder for culinary applications.When it arrived, we found out that this was more of an herb grinder or a specialty herb grinder than a culinary cooking grinder.Once we acquired the herbs that were needed to test the product we found it works well.It's cute. It's fun and it's decent quality.If you're looking for a culinary grinder, this isn't it.But, if you're looking for a specialty herb grinder, this might be what you're looking for!

Like other reviewers here, I ordered the starry night design and ended up receiving the rubix cube design. Not the end of the world, but definitely worth noting. That said, we liked the look enough to keep the item anyway.Anyway, now that that is out of the way, let's talk about the grinder itself. It's your standard cookie cutter design wrapped up in a nice looking outer shell. That said, it doesn't perfect like your average grinder due to a few design decisions. The most obvious is, the interior is plastic, including the teeth. It does still work, but, you'd really like to see metal used for that particular part. As others have pointed out, the magnets aren't quite as strong as they need to be for the task, so it doesn't hold together as well as I would have liked.I'm giving it a 3 star here, it'd be a two, but I do really like the design itself and gave it back a star for that reason.

UPDATE: 4-25-23The seller contacted me, apologized for the shipping error, blamed in on Amazon, and offered to send me the grinder I ordered, which I declined.I am returning two stars to promote this rating to a 4-star review to reward the seller's good customer service.The grinder I received, however, remains a 4-star item because the magnets aren't quite strong enough to hold the pieces together strongly.The grinder grinds. And it is discreet. Just don't drop it or leave it sitting around where people might pick it up, or it could fall apart in their hands!#end of update===================I like this little grinder that does not look like a grinder. It has two grinder pieces with nice sharp grinder blades, then a catcher for the ground herb, and then there’s a keef-keeper to catch all the really fine partials.Having said all that, I deducted 3 stars because I ordered the “Starry Night” grinder and received the one that looks like a colored cube puzzle.

I ordered the blue one that looks like Van Gogh's Starry Night and the sent me the one that looks like a Rubic's cube. I offered to send it back, but my husband said it didn't really matter to him and not to bother. I know it will sound like a joke, but we use it to grind fresh herbs for cooking and it works well. Using an electric grinder seems to make them to fine or almost mushy and so I prefer to just do it manually and this is a good compromise. I just don't like how it looks in my kitchen.

I ordered the starry night version but got the rubiks cube instead, no big deal. I like that it looks like a toy and can be displayed without suspicion. It has multilayers that can be separated and put back with ease since it's a magnet connection. It is simple to use and simple to clean. Nice product!

This square grinder is a really cool concept. I ordered the starry night one but received the rubiks cube colored one, but I'm not upset about it because I think I actually like it better. It's well made and looks like a real rubiks cube. The pieces are attached magnetically and the magnets are strong and sturdy. The grinding and sifting parts work well and they're easy to clean after use. Overall, really cool grinder that actually works!

The quality of this grinder is ok. The magnets aren't very strong and it does open easily. The designs are a cute idea the quality is just off.I'm also taking another star off because I ordered the Starry Night (blue) and received the rubiks cube pattern. That is not the item I requested.
