Muy bueno
The media could not be loaded.

Stiff Action and Weird Size, But Well Made
I own a lot of spinning reels and there's one thing you need to know about this reel up front.I got the 4000 size. When it arrived, it is the same size as all my other premium brand 3000 size reels. I don't know why Tempo sizes their reels differently, but at least with the 4000 size reel I got, even though it said 4000 on it, it's a 3000 size reel. Now, I have a use for a 3000 size spinning reel, but just keep that in mind, these could potentially be smaller than you anticipate. On to the pros and cons of this reel:Pros:-Well built and sturdy construction. Reel feels solid and tight, nothing jiggly, loose, shaky or anything else about the reel. It's solid.-Good drag-Casts well. I spooled it with 9 lbs mono and I was casting really far-Does not foul up with knots. Even with freshly spooled mono, I didn't experience a single wind knot or any other kind of issue from line lay. The reel has no line lay issues and mono spooled evenly across the spool.-Deep spool holds a lot of line-Drag is solid-Light weightCons:-This reel is stiff. Inexcusably so for an $85 reel. If you buy a Shimano, Daiwa, or Abu Garcia in this price class, those reels are going to retrieve like you're walking on a cloud. This one feels like you're walking against a heavy wind. There's way too much resistance for a reel in this price class. I don't know if this reel was not properly lubricated when sent out or if this just is as good as they could do. But this is a real negative, especially at this price point. I have fished with many budget reels that are half the price of this one and twice as smooth. In conclusion, this reel is is well made, but for the same price you can get a better reel from any of the major reel manufacturers. I am still giving it 4 stars because it is a perfectly functional solid reel. If you bait fish and aren't casting and retrieving very much, this isn't a big deal. But if you are fishing lures and repeatedly retrieving, eventually the resistance will bother you. If this was a $45 dollar budget reel, I would give it 5 stars. But this is being sold as a premium "expert" reel. In my opinion, it simply can't compete in that class.

Mediocre
I own other reels and rods by Tempo. I am extremely satisfied with them. Tempo's rod and reels are, for the most part, very well made. I find that their products are mechanically sound and authentically pleasing. Now here is a good example of the exception. This expert spinning reel is a farcry from other fishing products I own by Tempo. The first Expert reel I received had an issue. Whenntuening the handle, there was a point where the spool or the handle was sticking. Initially, I thought it might have been a dry spot so I lubed it the best I could without disassembling the reel. It was still sticking so I ended up requesting a replacement. Well the new one did the exact same thing.Another issue for me is that I know this is made of magnesium to keep the weight to a minimum without sacrificing too much structural rigidity but the magnesium makes this reel look and feel like cheap plastic. At the time of writing this review, there is a $30 coupon which would bring the final price of the 1000 size to $35.99. This reel is definitely worth this price. It is NOT worth the $65.99 MSRP.

Value for money
I have a few in 1000 size and they are smooth and durable. I use them for skippin docks and jigging crappie.

Not what advertised
The gear ratio is said to be in the 6.2 to 1 ratio but the reel states it is 5.2-1, as shown above. Also, the reel does not turn easily or smoothly as a 1000 size. Beware
