can i use this on gaskets, seals and pump lids?

We use on our pool system. The filter lid, the rubber seals, and on the traps. Works great!!

Would this be safe to use on an aquarium, specifically a saltwater tank? Would be used on hose fittings etc to ensure a water tight seal.

That is question for you pet supplier. You have alot of money in the fish and any thing in the water might leach. The real question is why do you need seal hose fittings. My hoses and fittings never leak.

How's this different from regular Magic Lube?

They are Different, Magic Lube II is based on a Silicone based formula... meaning its better for use on a gasket that isn't removed often... like a plug or the o Ring on a Sand filter... Magic Lube original is based on Teflon formula and is better for Pump Lids and gaskets that are removed often. They really can be used interchangeably. But if you have a need then that's the difference.

How long does it take to dry? I want to seal a hole in a cement planter to use as water fountain.

It's a lubricant, have never seen it set up. Used on o-rings so they are more flexible and don't dry out. Don't think this is what you are looking for in using it for a sealing a hole. Hope this helps.
