What a good saw but be aware....
This is a minichain saw and needs using with care but makes good plunge cuts, works well as a saw in confined spaces (back of kitchen cabinets), works well as a pruning saw. Being a chain saw it will pull the blade into the cut and needs to be hung onto if you don't want that to happen. Compared to jig saw blades, replacement blades are expensive so care is needed not to damage the blade by twisting or running it into stone or metal - expensive lesson!I had to make cuts in some old decking, so I could break it out as all the metal fixture were rusted - It made the job so much easier than any other saw. When used to prune resinous wood, clean the body and blade before it sets like plastic, I didn't and it was a long job to clean out the blade - anther lesson leant...This is NOT a jigsaw replacement, it is it's own unique saw.

Interesting, and certainly useful in the right situation
I bought this initially because I needed to cut a series of access ports in a large and heavy item of furniture. The item was screwed to the wall.I could have taken it off the wall and dismantled it, but the temptation to buy yet another smart tool to do the job won me over in the end.It turned out to be the perfect solution to my problem.I used it to cut out exactly what I needed to cut with no visible damage to the wall or the item of furniture! It’s a small and reasonably lightweight solution to a number of problems, most often to do with cramped working space.I bought this “bare”, which means I was able to use my numerous existing Bosch batteries and chargers. Money saved there. The blades are a bit of a miniature engineering marvel.A tiny chainsaw that you can carry in your pocket! (With the plastic safety guard fitted, of course).I like that you can start a cut by plunging straight in to the workpiece. No need for pilot holes. You can cut straight lines and gentle curves. Nothing too twisty, it is a chain saw after all.Easier to use than a jigsaw and more useful.I’m sure plenty of people will dismiss it as a gimmick, but in a tight spot, it’s perfect!

Pricey, but a handy tool.
Bought this to chop up some old flat-pack wardrobes. Did the job quickly and easily, no complaints. However, the blade is quite small (You can get a slightly bigger one, but I think 65mm is the biggest) and they aren't cheap to replace either (£20-£25 ish), so it will be interesting to see how long the blade lasts.Still, a nice little tool.

A must have
Brilliant little device for trimming back small branches. Easy to use and light enough to climb ladders with safely

Struggling to find a use for this nano-saw!
Purchased through Amazon Warehouse - the body & function were fine, but the saw blade looked suspiciously dinted and scratched! When I tried it out on a 3/4" branch I had a job even getting through it! THe saw-blade was exhausted completely. Amazon offered me £22 as a discount, which was fair, but not even enough to buy a new nano-blade.i really fancied getting one of these. The engineering design is typical Bosch, really superb. I get the feeling that this has been put together with a touch of genius, and the forlorn hope of finding a typical use for it. I really am lost for a sensible application for this nano-saw! With branches, gardening applications, I tend to use heavy duty hand loppers, a bow-saw or a DeWalt reciprocating saw. With joinery that requires accuracy, I would invariably go for the rigidity and accuracy of a quality tenon saw.Sorry, but this nano saw really stumps me in terms of actual practical applications. Even if you determined that you wished to prune trees or bushes, would you climb a ladder or steps, hold the branch with your left or right hand, use the other for cutting the branch using the nano-saw, and when the branch gave way & you maybe lurch forward with a mini-chain saw in your hand ........! Safety-wise I would have reservations. However, if you were playing a game that involved being placed in a sealed coffin & you could choose only one tool to facilitate your escape, this nano-saw would win hands down every time.

Great addition to my toolbox
Despite comments from some of the more ‘macho’ reviewers, this is NOT a ‘toy’, but a well designed addition for anyone requiring a small chainsaw type tool. It will not cut down thick trees, nor is it intended to, but it has helped me to trim dozens of wood panels in my new fencing plus a host of other jobs. This is NOT intended for the professional builder which is why it is labelled as ‘Home and Garden’ and not ‘Professional’.My only irritation is that ‘professional’ tool batteries do not fit, nor are the correct batteries and chargers available on Amazon but they are available from other sources.Smashing bit of well designed kit. Would be even better if battery supply was sorted. Highly recommended.

Disappointing: not much use in the garden.
I purchased this for use in the garden, but it's not as useful as I'd hoped it would be. It's much slower and harder to use than a sharp pair secateurs or loppers. Only time will tell if it will in future become a useful DIY accessory or instead another tool gathering dust. The SystemBox storage case is also disappointing: instead of having an appropriately shaped plastic lining tray (such as would be supplied with a Bosch Pro product) the tool is held in place with cardboard.

Bosch saw
Very Nano, disappointed how very small it is. 65mm blade will only cut 50mm and the 50mm blade only cuts 35mm.Quick cuts and no blockages. Blade is single unit so you can’t swap the blades, you have to buy the whole sealed unit.
