Really was disappointed with Apple Watches, thought I’d give Garmin a try.To many features to list, but here’s just a few that I really like.Battery lasts for ages and with solar charging this can be boosted in the right conditions to almost infinite.Sleep monitoring, body battery, steps, stairs climbed all without a separate app and completely self contained (no need for a smartphone)Really tough construction, i use it as my work smartwatch, as a result it’s been knocked, bashed and scraped, it still looks like new (I did buy a screen protector just to be safe)Water proof so you can swim with it on and monitor your swimming session (don’t press buttons in the water though, it tells you this on their website)Very comfortable to wear all week, even during sleep (I have a Garmin Fenix 7X for weekends)It has a light on the top, sounds pointless but I never knew how useful that would be until I had one.Thoroughly recommend this smartwatch, like Apple Watch and G shock had a child.

After having smartwatches from Huawei, Fossil, Fitbit, Samsung the Garmin Instinct 2X SOLAR Tactical Edition is by far superior to them all. Great battery life, functions and just as an everyday work watch its fantastic.As a fitness watch the functions and app are second to none, pacepro is a deal breaker for me as you can set distances and pacing, time taken and it will display +/- current pace so really good if you want to set certain times for distances, only issue for some is data from your phone when your not wearing the watch wont sync to Garmins app, not an issue for me but could be for some.All in all i cannot fault it.

Brilliant watch and with the solar charging I get over a month of use before having to charge and in the summer depending on how much I'm outside almost two months without charging. My only gripe would be the strap is a little bit to soft this is my second strap in just over a year. In total 3 straps the one it came with and another two.

What can i say about this watch thats not already in the tittle, fully charged says 10 days, realistically with the solar on a charge iv gone 18 days befor it hits 10%, if you go battery saver mode its over 100 days without needing a full charge, can’t believe i waited so long before buying this watch. Very much highly recommended purchasing, especially if you have large wrists this is definitely the one for you.

If you love data that is accurate (ish) then this moderately expensive watch, compass, altimeter, heart monitor, health monitor, GPS tracking, solar charging, robust design, bla, bla, bla. Then this watch / wrist clock (it is large) is just amazing

I’ve had lots of smartwatches over the years mainly from a fruit competitor! Over time found battery life abysmal and too distracting. Ordered this via garmin directly. Wow! I’m impressed and it has an amazing torch. So useful. Would I buy it again? Definitely.Update: I noticed that the battery life on the tactical version is less than the standard (I’ve tried both). Just worthwhile to note when buying. Difficult to find out why on forums, perhaps due to extra features even when you’re not using them??
