This TempSpike is a fantastic piece of kit. Really nice heavy quality feel and works so well. Simply set up all the parameters for your preferred cook, such as required internal temp, alarm 5 minutes before hitting required temperature (or 2 minutes, or 22 minutes if preferred!) and sit back and relax until your meat is cooked to perfection. You can set upper and lower alarms for ambient temperature too so if the BBQ goes out or gets too hot you can make the necessary adjustments. I wouldn't be without this now and it does away with the need to keep nipping out to the BBQ in all weathers to make sure that expensive piece of Rib Eye is not being ruined by being overcooked. If you haven't got one, buy one! You won't regret it.

I don’t and wouldn’t by a more expensive temperature spike as this ticks all the boxes, the app and connectivity/range is good the magnetic case is great for sticking to the bbq / extraction hood the temperature matches my thermometer to within a few degrees, really easy to use and takes all the guess work out of cooking, have used this loads of times on the bbq and the oven in chickens, beef joints and even the Christmas turkey, in my opinion a great quality and reasonably priced temperature probe

Great value. Works very well with long cooks in the smoker, and the temperature chart and alarms mean you don't need to keep checking by hand.The temp logging does require your phone to be near the unit though, so it won't work if you move out of range. It does cover most of the house though.

Thanksgiving turkey was perfect, so was the Christmas turkey (wife liked the first so much she wanted another). As much as I fancy myself as a great chef this temperature probe was the MVP

The media could not be loaded. Look at how pink but cooked the beef was set at 66c alarm went off rest for 10 min it was the best I usually over cook and it's tough not any more

This is really only useful for large roasts. Even then it's a big chunk of metal to stab your meat with. You also have to have it all the way in for it to work properly. It'd be useless for testing temp of sausages or chicken legs. I never use this thermometer now. So waste of money.
