These are good hair straightners. Best i have bought. Fantastic for thick hair. Does'nt take too long to straighten my long thick hair.

I’ve used this brand for a while. Always been happy with the wider straighteners I have and these narrower ones are just as great! Very happy with my purchase. They heat up super fast so be ready!

I wanted to try the infrared and ion technology in the straighteners and have to say my hair is definitely smoother and less frizzy using them. I have quite thick, coarse, wavy hair.The cap thing to go over the arms to hold them together and the bag make them easy to travel with too. The only thing I find is that the old fashioned fabric binding around the cord leads to it getting much more tangled than my previous GHD’s, other than that it would have been 5 stars.

I bought these about a month ago after reading all the reviews for this product and that with the wider plates and have not been disappointed. I have always been a GHD fanatic as I have short-medium length coarse frizzy hair with several kinks but am now a convert. These glide through my hair and leave it soft and shiny, a finish I never got from my GHDs. The temperature can be programmed to the desired setting and I've actually found that a lower temperature is better for me, adequately taming all my frizz. You only need to pass over the hair once or twice, significantly reducing straightening time and therefore speeding up my morning routine, an added bonus! And I also purchased them at a reduced price - amazing value for money! I am extremely happy with this product and would thoroughly recommend for similar hair types who are despairing at finding the perfect appliance!!

Nice packaging and nice travel case.Great as a gift

I currently have Remmington Silk straighteners which have served me well, but when I saw the reviews on these straighteners I decided to order them. I was expecting a one pass type product that would be better for the condition of my hair. However it took several attempts to straighten.After returning the product I researched the reviews, I saw that many had received their straighteners at a discount rate in exchange for a good review. At the discount rate the straighteners may very well have been worth the money, but at £95 my expectations were greater.I am still looking for straighteners and have looked at the USA professional Titanium (in red), and the H2D VI professional infrared but am undecided. Both seem to suggest good conditioning qualities but need to live up to expectations.

Item reviewed: Gold.These come with a pretty carry case and a clip that holds the straightener blades together when not in use.The lead looks about 3 metres long and is a iron type fabric rather than the usual plasic and has a lovely swivel type root where it meets the straighteners meaning it is easy to move about with and to reach without chance or dragging lead at the plug.There is a digital display in red and a green light when the on off button is pressed which I found helpful as it was a clear signal it was on and also because it had the on and off button when I had finished I did not have to switch it on and off on the plug socket. The temperature was reached in a matter of a minute or so and if I wanted lower than the default of 230 degrees c I could reduce it in increments of 10. I started with the default to see the max effect of the straighteners and then once I had seen that effect on my hair reduced it to the point where it was not working. I found a temperature of 150 was sufficicient for my (fine) hair.I loved how easy this was to use and the effects were dramatic and quickly acheived. See photos before and after.I read the instruction manual and it said curls could also be acheived but I already have a slight wave in my hair (a grown out perm) which I hate so I was not interested in trying that. I think if curls were needed it would be better to go for a traditional curling iron as the instructions did not sound like that would be a good technique for hair - it said to treat the hair like curling ribbon using an acute angle with the straighteners and my hair is too fine and fragile to be dragged about like that. If you have thicker / stronger hair and want curls maybe that technique would work for you.Footnote: these are ionic and do make a faint buzzing in use, so in case you were wondering if they are defective when you hear that noise, no they are working!
