Vizari Retro Hearts Soccer Shinguards

My daughter started soccer this year and I thought it would be fun to get girly and pink everything for her. She was so excited when these arrived in the mail - but I found out that soccer players wear socks OVER their shin guards so the adorable design never shows. Call me a newbie - I had no idea that's how it worked.True to some other reviews, I think these are too large to be called "small" - I would go with medium. My 5 year old is on the tall side of average for her age, and these fit OK. She hates the strap on the bottom to go under her foot, so she doesn't wear it like that. I am pleased that if she continues next season, I won't need to buy new ones - these will probably fit her for 2 more years. They seem high enough quality that they will last that long as well.In retrospect - I may have purchased something less flashy and less expensive (not that these broke the bank, but I could have saved a few dollars) if I knew more about the soccer uniform - but overall I'm happy with the purchase.

We are keeping them, but I wasn't thrilled with the level of padding and construction details. We'll know better when they are actually put to use. Sizing: large for my 5' 1" daughter is fine, even though the guide says medium for up to 5' 3" and L for up to 5' 11". They specify where the guard should fit (above ankle and below knee) and the large works fine. Ignoring the pattern and color (they go under a sock so who cares) I don't like the cheap looking finish on the edges. They arrive flat, you have to bend them to conform, odd, but I guess okay. The ankle padding looks scanty to me in coverage and in thickness. I can try to update after Spring season starts, but right now: underwhelmed but not enough to send them back. Inexpensive, so if they are mediocre they can be emergency backup pair.

I bought these for my 5 year old daughter who just joined our AYSO program this year. I had originally ordered a different brand set of shinguards that only came in 3 sizes (S, M, L). I ordered the small ones from the other brand and they were WAY too tiny for my daughters shins already. Tried the medium and they were way to big! Found these and gave them a try after reading many of the other reviews and noticed someone had listed a good "sizing" chart to go by within their review already.These not only fit my daughter perfectly, but the quality is much better as well than the first brand we bought.Added bonus: My daughter loves the hearts on them!If you're looking for a great shin guard at a great price, look no further!

I really like these shin guards. I bought them for my 4 year old daughter, she was thrilled with the pink hearts and stars as one would expect. They are easy to put on and seem comfortable. I ordered an x-small and I have a very tall 4 year old (wears a size 7 in clothing) and these were still too big. The soccer instructor said that that protective part of the shin guards should start just above the ankle and stop just below the knee in order to be comfortable and not rub. My only caveat to purchasing these is to order smaller if you are in doubt.

They are a little small. Size is supposed to fit until a height well past my child's, but they don't cover the full calf and are curved too much for my child. Gave 4 stars because they do provide protection and match well with the ball and shoes with the same print.

Fit just as described. My daughter is 3ft tall and the XXS still work. This way she can grow with them a bit while she learns the sport.I will say if your child has thicker legs they may not work as well since they are very narrow.

I really like that these are one piece instead of the ones that come apart. I've had issues with the other style because my 6 year old has misplaced the ankle thing. So these get 5 stars because I never have to look for pieces on game day.

Only 3 stars because the strap has to wrap around the front, so it does not look as good as other shinguards that just attach around the back of the calf. They still seem to work fine and have a cute design but I would have purchased a different pair due to the way these attach.

Great for my tiny kid but the elastic is too loose around once but cut her circulation off if we double it.

These fit great. The velcro fastens on the front on the shin pad instead of the back like others. No irritation on the back of the leg this way!

They fit our 4 year old daughter very well and she finds them comfortable to wear which is important. Arrived within three days.
