Schutt Throw Down Baseball Bases for Baseball and Softball, Great for Practice, Backyard Play and Kickball

We use them for ~5yr old games in park across the street. Perfect for kickball, teeball and such. We use them on grass and they do slide a bit but I wouldnt expect anything not to slide without spikes.

Good product for the price. Portable, which is an advantage - can just through them in the back of the car. They are a bit flimsy, but should do decently over time.

These are cheap, which is good. But they are also light and move around. Not a deal breaker and I was aware. No problem.

I coach softball & I have lots of gear to move around. I purchased this item over others because the description included the mesh bag. Based on the reviews, I rolled the dice in hopes that I would get the product as described, but my bet did not pay off. I contacted Shutt & you can't get the bag by itself. The bases do not take up a lot of space & are quite handy; for practice fields without bases, for warming up pitchers, for use with a batting machine, etc. We've definately gotten our money's worth already. We've held five practices in the last two weeks & we've used some combination of the bases for every practice. I expect them to last for quite sometime, but I am still disappointed about not receiving the mesh bag.

We took these bases to Cuba for the little guys in Baracoa. While visiting there in January, we watched as their coach folded up a white sack made of some synthetic fiber and threw it down on the baseline. This was first base. The Schutt throwdown bases are safer and more secure, and the boys were most appreciative when they got these in July.

Although I ordered this item 2 seperate times and was unhappy, the attention I received from Amazon regarding this was wonderful. The bases are fine and look like the picture on the website, however, there is no mesh carry bag with the bases. This was very dissapointing because that was one of the main reason for my ordering this for my grandson for Christmas. I sent one order back thinking it was just a mistake, but when the second order arrived in the same condition, I knew something was not right. I have to praise Amazon though for the quick resolution and customer service they provided. The company that makes this item either needs to supply the bags or create a new picture for the website.
