Oakley Simon Dumont Splice Snow Goggles

Different lens, but still awesome Oakley Splice Goggles.First of all, lens that came was Fire Iridium, not persimmon. As the color of the lens was specifically chosen for the expected light conditions, this was the only reason I didn't give the goggles 5 stars. I noticed this trend with Amazon lately, when you get items a little different from what you ordered every now and again, though customer service is very prompt and courteous fixing errors of the packing department.Otherwise it's awesome quality goggles; just like lot of people notice, it makes you feel much less tired after a day in the snow, as goggles actually rest on your cheeks and not on your nose bridge. Another thing I noticed was a pretty thick padding around the nose, which could also have been the result of Amazon packing department sending me Asian Fit goggles instead of a regular (I bought this goggles on Warehouse Deals, so it has been repacked). After few days padding "broke in" and no longer impeded breathing through the nostrils. Apart from wrong tint lens and thick padding, this goggles are hard to beat in term of the quality and comfort for the price. The only thing I had to do was to buy a persimmon replacement lens.

These are great goggles. But I advise to order a clear or high intense replacement lens. The lens that come with are for sunny days, but the $25 clear lens is great for the snowy day. I have a $300 pair of goggles and for recreational skiing on a 25degree day there are no differences. Maybe if it was -15 there might be a difference I guess, but if you are a normal weekend skier these are perfect and the money you save from the expensive goggles could pay for a nice weekend to use them.Fit well even for a larger head.Did not fog all day 25 degreeslens is dark so buy a $25 clear replacement lens for the snowy day.

The one star is for poor QC or storing. Had received 2 replacement each one having the protective coating chipped off near the nose bridge.

Stylish Google’s. I used them in our last ski trip for 6 days, they didn't fog at all.In fact My wife has been using Oakley Stockholm and my kids both have Oakley Kids Google’s (got the from Evo for 24$/pair ) too. None of them fog once in 6 days of ski. I’m very happy with Oakley quality.

Brought for my son as a Christmas gift. He loves them and called me from the mountain to tell me how great they were and how many compliments he received.
