Crosstac Tactical Rear Squeeze Bag Prefilled

Pros: This rear squeeze bag definitely does the trick for a lightweight, waterproof, portable rear support for shooting. It is ideal for use while on the go, and spares the shooter the need to haul around more heavy-duty shooting support bags. Also, the bag has enough weight to stay put, while providing pretty good support and elevation, and complements a rifle with a bi-pod quite effectively, particularly when out in the field.Cons: The Crosstac Tactical Rear Squeeze Bag is a bit on the small side, so when the elevation it provides is insufficient, I have to use my non-shooting hand as additional support to get the stock of the rifle to the height I want it. The rectangular shape of the bag allows for different heights, and its lightweight design allows it to be positioned with ease, but I would have liked a bag with a bit more volume, which would provide more height and reduce the role of awkward hand use for more height. However, the portability and ruggedness of this rear support bag outweighs the minor issue of the bag being a bit on the small side, hence the 4 stars vs. 5 stars.All in all, though, this is a nice, versatile piece of gear that has been worth the somewhat steep price tag.

I took a bit of the filler out when I first got it. It was just a bit too filled for my personal preference. I think the amount I took out was around 3/4 cup dry measure. Nice that they had it that full when I got it. It certainly wasn't rigid or trying to stretching the seams, just a bit more stuffing than I wanted.

I got this to replace the black cotton sock filled with plastic airsoft bb's that I'd been using for the past year.The Crosstac bag is, of course, much classier, and works just fine. It comes over-stuffed, but I easily removed about 1/2 cup of the fill, and now it is squeezable and formable. However, it has a distinct, rectangular shape, and the bag material has a grippy surface, and is not as squishable and formable as my old bb-filled sock. It works great most of the time, but in some positions in the field, I prefer the easier fomability of the old sock, and the ability to slide the rifle butt around just a wee bit. The surface of the Crosstac bag is sometimes a bit too grippy, and can make minute adjustments more difficult.

I have a very stable and adjustable platform using this bag. I can quickly slide it back and forth along the bottom of the buttstock to find the height to get me on target and make sure the stock is down solid to prevent it from squishing down when the gun recoils. It is light enough to leave it tethered to the sling stud on the back of the rifle. The original stuffing works well, but I found that airsoft BB's move smoother inside the bag. It would be nice to have a model with a smooth material one one end to allow the rifle to slide straight back upon recoil. It is nice having a sticky material where the hand is gripping. I had many 3/4 MOA groups at 100 yards on uneven ground with a bipod using this bag while shooting prone.

This rear bag is exactly what I was looking for. Normally I absolutely hate shooting off a bench because I'm tall and have the hardest time keeping sand bags in the position I need them to be in order to maintain a consistent and comfortable shooting platform. I added a bipod to fix the front of the rifle but was still left with the issue of the rear bags. I picked up this squeeze bag to to steady my placement and make very fine adjustments and it worked perfectly. It has really good grip and doesn't flatten out to the sides when the rifle rests on it and your hand is on it. Highly recommend.

I'm happy with this bag for what it is. It is a small, squeezable rear bag suitable for something similar to a Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifle. However, it is a bit small for a centerfire caliber rifle.

Very high quality should last a lifetime.

Won’t be to everyone’s taste, but for the size of my hands it’s perfect, might need to take out a few beans though. Looks well made and will be put to good use shortly
