Range and Target Wheelybird 2.0 Automatic Trap, Multi (40925)

The unit was packaged well, was here in 3 days over the New Year’s Day holiday weekend. The mechanical section appears to be well put together. Very heavy. It should perform well.My 2 cents worth:1. Lay out ALL the parts and check the quantity listed for each part. I was one lock nut short. Just annoying to have to call the company so I went to the Lowes store and bought what I needed. While there, I bought 2 metric bolts and wing nuts (M8-1.25)to use it to attach the handle. With this modification, you can take the handle off or take one bolt off and pivot the handle to fit in the back of your vehicle easier. No tools needed. You can do this with your elevation control bolts. Again, no tools needed. I always forget to take the needed tools. Also, if you need more elevation, you can use a set of ramps (fiberglass ramp I use for oil change). It will double your elevation.If you push the wheely Bird to the plateau of the ramp you will have to bend less to pick up the unit to put it in the back of your vehicle.2. The instruction says to take the main spring off to transport the unit. Well, the unit came with a heavy zip tie to keep the arm from swinging out during the shipment. You can either use a heavy duty zip tie or a u-bolt with wing nuts to prevent the arm from swinging out when you pick the unit up to transport. This will prevent an accidental discharge of the unit. It will be a painful lesson. However, having to take the main spring off will be something human nature will ignore. U-bolt with wing nuts easy/simple to implement. Again no tools needed.3. I don’t care too much for the hula hoop set up. I am going to use my fiber glass reflector poles that I use to mark my driveway entrance.One on each side and one in front out of the way of discharge direction. You can add a tape to mark the arc to remind you. This will help when you try to put the unit in your vehicle.{still have to watch out for kids and dogs.)Have fun.

The media could not be loaded.  This was very easy to assemble. However I did have to look at the pictures to supplement the written instructions. My children and I got this for my husband for Father’s Day. I assembled it in less than an hour. The first time we took it out it worked perfectly. There was a small learning curve on loading the clays but once we figured out to slide the first clay in at an angle to push up the rubber bumper to hold it and then load the other clays on top, it worked like a dream. I do recommend that you use the stake that is provided to keep it in one location as it does move from the vibration. Also, two of the bolts worked their way out ( the ones on the side that attach the mechanism to the frame and allow you to angle the unit - so do check that if something seems off- overall, heavy duty and well made. My son and husband shot 100 rounds each our first time out. So much fun.

I received this as a Christmas present and it’s definitely an upgrade. Now I don’t have to load one clay at a time and pull a string for each throw.Assembly was easy and took about 20-30 minutes. I do appreciate the wheels. It makes transporting the launcher super easy. I bring this baby out to the middle of the desert for shooting and it’s gone over bumps, dip, and all kinds of rocks with no problems.At first it wasn’t working, which was really upsetting. But after removing the front plate that covers the limit switch, we found that one of the wires was grounded to the wrong terminal. Then we figured out that we bought the wrong battery; 8V instead of a 12V. Hope that helps others on some issues.After getting the right battery and messing with the wiring, it worked flawlessly. Launched the clays flawlessly without issues.Overall, easy to use and hours of fun.I haven’t actually been able to use the remote yet but, if I remember, will update this review.

Assembly instructions were pretty good, I did have to adjust the limit switch when I first turned it on, it just kept throwing non-stop, but there are instructions for that in the manual as well. I am just using a cheap lawnmower battery from Walmart, I've thrown around 150 clays so far without charging the battery, works great. Probably going to order the wobble kit soon.I do still like my hand thrower to be able to throw every presentation imaginable, but I also have a manual reset thrower, if I were to do it again I would skip buying one of those and go straight to one of these.Only 2 criticism I could give. the hose used as a safety circle droops right away, would be nice if it was supported in the front as well. I believe it actually throws a bit too far. I don't think I can adjust it down far enough to meet trap regulations, but I'm not hosting a meet, just practice so that's a minor thing. If you turn it all the way up this thing will seriously launch them out which is pretty fun.

this product is better than expected by far. excellent quality and operation. everyone that comes and uses is interested to purchase wheelybird and wobble which i recommend 100% as a pair. only thing that would be a benefit is to offer the wobble kit knowing you have a wheelybird already and save some money and leave out the extra parts and fasteners that are unnecessary. i have been a good sales representative at my shooting range costs me a small fortune every sunday. everyone enjoy

Have been waiting to set this up and have a go. Had a mate coming around and about 30 mins to put it together. All went well, easy to put together, clear instructions, all pieces present and well made. Bought a simple little battery and was wheeling out to the field in about 20 minutes. Only needed a couple of spanners to tighten everything up. Adjustment was spot-on straight out of the box, no broken clays and throwing full distance and height. We were ridding the skies of pesky clay pests within 30 mins. Thanks Champion for a really cool device.

Todo bien llego el paquete , se armo hoy lo pruebo, solo que por la aduana que dañaron el manual lo cortaron al abrir la caja para inspeccionar,deben tener más cuidado con esos detalles ya que pueden dañar el producto que se compra
