Great snails for a variety of species in your fish tank
These snails are great snails. They arrived well packaged and all were alive. They came quickly and were insulated.I know they are called assassin snails and my tank is covered in snails due to putting a plant from a lake in my tank. I am having a problem with them, they are not eating the other snails in the tank. It's like I bought 5 more snails to go with my collection of snails I already had. They are great to look at and kind off interesting.I would recommend these snails if you're looking for more of a variety of species in your fish tank. If your looking for a way to get rid of pest snails these say they would work but in my experience they didn't for me.

Good snails!
All five arrived happy and healthy and very active! Had them for a little over a month now and they've been a fun (and effective) addition to the tank. The instructions say to float the container in the tank to acclimate them, but I did what I usually do for new tank mates - dump out half the water in the container, add water from the tank, wait 15 minutes. Repeat and wait another 15. Repeat once more and wait half an hour. At that point the container is mostly your own tank water and the occupants are acclimated and you don't have to worry about adding too much old tank water to your own. Also gives you time to see if they come out and move around.

Giant Hassle for Deceased Snails
Make sure that you read the directions for live orders. If I would have known what a hassle and step process this is, we would have paid a couple dollars more and bought good, healthy snails at our local shop, without all of the hassle. We were happy to see that the seller had sent seven instead of the five that we had ordered. They looked fine and after letting them adjust to the water temp, we let them go. My daughter was concerned right away, because they wouldn’t move and soon the snails that we are trying to get rid of were devouring the assassins! I immediately contacted the seller and explained. I think the frustrating part about this is that I told the seller immediately that we did not have a picture of the snails before we put them in the tank... the water was clear and they looked fine. They clearly weren’t, since the pest snails immediately started eating them (I sent pics of this right as it happened). This matter took entirely too much time and correspondence, having to get specific pictures at an angle, so that the seller could see inside of the snail to make sure that they were deceased. After everything, we were told “looks like all seven snails are dead”, but that was it, because their policy says that they must have a picture before the snails go into the tank.We contacted them immediately, had good communication, pictures and rapport, but still we were not refunded even a portion of our payment.

4 out of 5
Four snails in our 5-pack were alive. The stripes aren’t bright yellow like the picture indicates. Maybe they will brighten? Still cool creatures. Hoping they help with pest snails.

I was nervous ordering online but now I’m very happy!
I got my snails earlier today and instead of getting 5 they gave me 6. I’m sure it was in case any didn’t survive but they all did, so Thank You! They came packaged VERY well with a heat pad to keep them from getting to cold. It had very easy to read instructions saying to put them in a bowl with the aquarium water for about 24 hrs for them to adjust so I put them in a bowl and scooped up a couple of my pest snails from the aquarium in case they were hungry lol. Well within 30 minutes they were all moving around and had already killed 3 pest snails! So I moved them sooner to my tank and most of them immediately took off to do their job. The others I’m sure will get going soon since they already were in the bowl. They are a bit small but that’s ok because I have plenty of food for them lol. They explain on the pamphlet that colors may vary slightly and that’s not a problem for me at all because I purchased them for a job, not decoration. But their still cute ❤️ I’m sure their colors will change over time anyway. I highly recommend this company, shipment was fast and they took a lot of care in packaging them for a safe trip.Pic is within minutes after I put them in the tank and already a couple took off to get to work.

Lively snails and Assassin snails are great!
I was worried about this order for 2 reasons:1. Buying something alive to be shipped2. The presentation of the page/product are a bit off.My snails arrived perfectly happy, although there were a few chipped shells. I'm quite happy with how they turned out.More snail related tips:1. If you're thinking about getting Assassin snails to take care of a tank issue (algae, small snails), they are worth it. They'll mow down algae and other snails. They only eat pest snails when the pest snail is big enough, they avoid the smaller ones. This means the places in the tank they can't go (moss clusters I have, flimsier plants) will still have smaller snails. That's fine by me as they're limited in quantity and clean up the algae where the assassin's can't.2. Quarantine these guys as long as you can. The ones I ordered appear to be disease free but I assume every tank ever that isn't mine has something in it. I kept these guys in a large mason jar for a week, replacing waters 2-3 times a day and they kept fine. Just make sure to feed them.If you have sinking algae wafers, the Assassin snails LOOVVEEE them. My assassins will bury in gravel but withing 2-3 minutes of me dropping a wafer they'll be out and bee lining it across the tank.
