Does what it's supposed to do (wireless RS-232 bridge)
The need was to get 4800 baud RS-232 data (occasional bursts) from "point A" to "point B" and nothing else - and this did just that. We only needed to go a hundred meters or so and it did that fine. This unit won't run directly from USB (it needs between 6 and 28 volts or so) and it was powered from an existing 12 volt source - and it does NOT come with any antennas, so very small, inexpensive 433 MHz units with female SMA were used: While capable of 1 watt, the power was turned down to 100mW (+20dBm) - the lowest that it would go as the distance was pretty short. It took a bit to find the configuration program online, but it seemed to do the job.
