Yes, it definitely is from China. The label clearly says so.

Q: How "fine" is the powder. I would want to sprinkle it on food and am concernded that it will "cake"?

It is very fine...it would sprinkle like powder...good for sauces etc....you may want the fine granulated....this will cake a little, but, excellent for making tomato sauces or sprinkling on chicken prior to cooking.

Q: What is the texture like? Very fine powder(like talcum), or somewhat granular(like table salt maybe)? Finer, same, or coarser than table salt? Thanks.

This Garlic Powder is more granular. Not too coarse or fine, not a talc type powder. ~ Erica
