A good buy
Its a great kit to make but you need to be careful with the small parts. Super glue is useful in the construction of this kit.

A good replica of 1950’s kit
A nice small model, originally released in 1950’s, hence the “Classic” label. The components are simple, as you would expect from its age, and not as detailed as current Airfix kits, but Airfix have gone to the trouble of producing new transparencies, which was always a weakness of the original kit. Buyers need to be aware that it will take more effort to produce a good replica, but good to see it available again, so get one while still available.

Very good.
I made this model decades ago when very young and now I have had the opportunity to build it again this time with my young son, who also found it a delight. Well done Airfix/Hornby for re-issuing the kit.

An Oldie, But Not Quite A Goldie!
This is a recent (mid 2023) release in the Airfix Vintage Classics range, the original kit having been produced in 1958.The Vintage Classics are well-priced, but lack the finesse of modern kits and this should be taken into consideration when making a purchase. In this case the kit had two faults, a badly moulded propellor blade which was kinked and a large air bubble in the main cockpit transparency.I contacted Airfix Customer Service, they always reply quickly and help as much as possible. They are able to supply a new transparency, but disappointingly have no stocks of the propeller, surprising given that this iteration of the kit is so new **UPDATE - replacement part received within 2 days, well done Airfix**Whilst the option of return to Amazon is there, I have already primed some of the kit and am able to source a propellor from an old kit, so will carry on with what I have.A nostalgic build, although I don't quite date back to the time of the original release!
