(Updated)Warped/unaligned rods can't punch through
Update: Customer service was crazy fast. They responded so quickly to my emails and they are sending a replacement asap. Just based on customer service I give the company 5/5 stars and honestly I recommend them. It sucks to have a bad machine sent BUT they stand by their product and care about the customers and will make it right. Old Review: I really want this machine and contacted customer service with offnova, and I'll update the review if I hear back, but as of right now I recieved an entirely defective machine. I'm not sure how they let this particular machine get passed on to be shipped to a customer when it wont even punch down at all. Any test would've prevented this. Other than that, it feels nice and heavy and solid, which is what I'd like. I'm hoping I can get a machine that works

Good machine for the price
Overall this is a good machine and does what I expected it would do, which is to punch heavy paper and single-layer matboard for making sketchbooks, notebooks, etc. I'm giving it four, rather than five stars because it isn't able to punch really heavy stock, like a double layer of matboard or heavy chipboard for book covers. Nevertheless the quality is very good for the price and I'm overall happy with the purchase. Also, be aware that it comes with a large box of fairly small diameter wire binding spines, all one size -- I had to buy another box of assorted sizes to get the bigger ones that are more useful for what I do. It would be nice if they included a box of assorted spines, rather than all one size.

Worth it!
Probably not your fanciest but it gets the job done! I particularly like that the handle comes off easily for storage purposes. It’s easy to use and I’ve been using it for over a year with no problems. I use it to bind our homeschool workbooks as well as making little scrapbook style booklets for my kids. Definitely worth the money. Glad I didn’t spend any more.

Heavy duty punch
Works well as described. Easy to create thin books. I struggled with the binding holder on the front but the holes line up well so I was able the poor the binding on manually. Good size for personal projects.

Poor punch quality, started tearing paper after a while.
It won't punch more than 6-8 pages at a time, and even then, after binding five documents, the punches started tearing the sheets and getting them out of alignment. You have to push down on the top bar to help the punches go through paper and the wires to close. The instructions on how to clamp the wires are also not clear, and watching a few video tutorials didn't help, there's no other way to get the wires in than with the open side towards the back of the clamp. I'm going to replace with a thermal binder. One other issue with the return: Amazon says "we may deduct a fee if the product is used"... but the reason for returning is it's defective, ergo, used, otherwise, how could you return a defective item ever?

Not durable
This machine worked for about 10 binding jobs. Always a little finicky to use, but I didn't expect top quality at this price point. Now it is an overpriced paperweight. Very disappointing.

Okay light use, not great. Uneven bind. Dont punch thick cover well
Okay for home use on occasion. Not suitable for thick books. It doesnt punch plastic cover 0.4mm well. The clamping is not easy to operate to get a perfect binding, the binding is uneven where it is tighter near the handle vs the other end of the bind, making the book difficult to open/flip pages on one end and loose/pages coming off on the other end

Best Customer Service
This machine has worked fantastic for me. When I first got the machine one of the tooth things on the front was broken off but I contacted the company directly and they were immediately on it for me. Not only did they send me replacement parts but she also made sure I received the item. Along with asking for any further questions or concerns. Customer service is an important to me when it comes to picking out a company to buy from. So far my family and I have loved this machine! Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend
I found this product to be unsuitable. The reason - as the paper to be punched is inserted into the product, there is no firm edge to hold the paper straight. The consequence is that the holes finished up at an angle to the paper.
