I wanted a way to change my lighting drastically throughout the day and night, to help with circadian rhythms and improve my overall sleep quality, so i decided to give these a try and so far I'm pretty pleased! I like that I was able to set and save some different lighting levels quite easily. I made created five with varying degrees of dimming light going from white all the way to red. As the night goes on, I change my setting so it's not only a more relaxing and dim lighting scheme in my bedroom, but also with as little blue light as possible. (A bright white light has a lot of blue light, whereas a red or amber light has little to none. Blue light is what tells our brains it's daytime and it's time to be awake, so the less blue light at night, the better.) I like how fun and simple and convenient it is, turning lights on and off or changing the lighting scheme from the app on my phone, without having to get out of bed. The only reason I took off one star: To get to my preset lighting schemes, I have to click on the app, and then I ciick on my designated lighting areas (one I have marked blue chair and the other is bedside table), then I click on DIY (to get to the presets I made) and then I click on one of my presets. So four steps in all - not a lot, but I wish I could create a shortcut button that immediately lets me access my presets rather than go through that each time. The other minor thing is I wish I could create presets with even less light than the lowest possible option. Some nights when my eyes are tired, even the lowest option still seems a bit too bright. Lastly, in the few weeks I've had the bulbs, once they were non responsive. On the app it kept showing they were turned off, but the actual bulbs wouldn't turn off. I finally gave up and turned them off manually in the lamps, and the next day they were responding in the app again. All in all though, I'm really pleased with them and recommend them! It's made a huge difference in my life and a reminder than sometimes the smallest things can have a big impact!

These smart light bulbs work great and are easy to set up. The brightness and color options are very good, and they connect smoothly with smart home systems. The app is excellent as well—very user-friendly and full of useful features like scheduling, scenes, and automation. Overall, a solid smart lighting option with a great app experience.

I made my first purchase (now four purchases of these bulbs in total) back at the end of September. I wanted to give Matter based bulbs a try since my Hubitat hub was going to add support for Matter by the end of 2023. As soon as Hubitat added Matter support, I went through the process of adding one of the bulbs to the Hubitat. Since you cannot commission a Matter bulb with the Hubitat app yet, I went ahead and used the AiDot app to commission the bulb. AiDot is the company that produces the Orein bulbs. I then added the Orein bulb to Amazon Alexa since I use the Echo/Alexa devices to control all my home automation devices. Alexa is already integrated to my Hubitat C8. After the Orein bulb was added to the Alexa app, I then added it to the Hubitat. Seems like a few extra steps, but the nice thing about Matter bulbs, they can be connected and controlled from multiple home automation devices using the sharing code produced by the AiDot/Alexa apps. So now I can easily control the Orein bulbs from the AiDot app, Amazon Echo/Alexa devices and app and also using the dashboard of the Hubitat. Really flexible. The Orein bulbs respond very fast to commands from any of the devices and apps. Using any of my Echo devices, I can control the bulb to turn the Orein bulbs on/off, change brightness, and change colors very easily and response if very fast. And as previously mentioned, I can do the same thing from the AiDot app and the Hubitat Hub or Hubitat Dashboard. These bulbs are highly recommended for anyone interested in home automation. Also great quality and price. Maybe it does not need to be mentioned, but these of course are LED bulbs so they use very little electric. Give the Orein bulbs a try, I think you will be very happy with your purchase.

I’ve tried many smart light bulbs. They are either difficult to get setup, the connection drops off and need it reset and setup all over again, or there’s some hardware needed to act as a gateway to share controls with other family members or program a schedule. This smart light bulb takes all that pain away by being easy to setup, the connection maintains even if the power goes out or the light switch gets toggled on or off. And you can share the light controls with other users while being able to program a schedule. The aidot app is easy to use too.

The bulb itself is actually pretty good. It is bright, the colors look nice, and it works perfectly fine as a regular light. However, the main reason I bought this was to control it with my phone, and that is where the problems start. The app is incredibly frustrating. Setting it up took me three tries because it kept disconnecting from my Wi-Fi.. More often than not, I just give up and use the regular wall switch because messing with the app takes too long.

Ya tengo más de un año con ellos y salen buenos, el único detalle es que la luz blanca es amarillenta y parpadean en algunos momentos como si les faltara energía. Pero se conectan con Alexa, HomePod y con su app por default.

Estoy bastante satisfecha con la compra. Alumbran bien y fue fácil agregarlos a HomeKit
