Good plastic bags
The bags seem to be pretty durable and have good thickness. I haven't tried a side by side comparison of metal storage in here compared to not this bag in an especially wet humid area. I don't really have extra junk jewelry, knives, magazines, etc. sitting around to test if it'll rust more or less with these bags. I also haven't had them long enough to really tell yet. With that said, the bags or relatively thick, so they seem to protect a bit. The bags are pretty big, but better overly big than too small. They work for their advertised purpose af jewelry bags. They definitely fit knives (as long as not particularly large) g magazines (as long as not super long or large like a 100 Rd drum or crazy long half circle AK mag). They perform admirably so far. I also add desiccant to inhibit moisture buildup. I also have a vacuum sealer that would help with items for long term storage, but I regularly use most of what little jewelry, knives, mags I have, so I don't vacuum seal too much of these. These serve their purpose admirably so far so should get a good review.

Made in China, no VCI Properties
I normally buy these bags made in USA since I can't trust Chinese manufacturers. I use these bags for storing and shipping bare metal parts (rust easily). This bag has no anti-rust properties. Just a plain blue bag. Made in China - I should've known. If you're going to buy VCI bags, make sure it's made in USA

aside from jewelry, not sure what I'm going to use these for
Product - Devonian Anti-rust zipper bag VCI Bag for jewelry, metals (13.3×9.4"×4mil 20pcs) (B0BMFQBL33)I got these anti-rust bags thinking that I could use them to protect my jewelry. However, my jewelry will swim in the 13.3x9.4 bags. I guess that I'll just have to find some other use(s) for it. They included a bonus - a smaller 6.7x4.7 which is the size that'd be much better for jewelry. They provided their recommended opening method to open up the bags that I couldn't figure out. Maybe someone else can.

Affordable rust preventative storage bags for your investments
If you have never used volatile corrosion inhibitors (VCI) bags, the jist of it is that you should not oil the items you are storing in the bags and keep the bags sealed. The items can be 100% ready to go from the bag. It is safe to leave optics and fully-loaded magazines in these bags as well. The brass will not tarnish and there won't be a film on the optics when you need them. These are comparable (perhaps even identical) to other name brand blue storage bags on the market. The only down-side I can see with these bags, is that they only have a two-year life, whereas the name brand bags claim to have a four or five year shelf-life. These times can be stretched if you seal the bags and use them in conjunction with a desiccant or oxygen absorber. Don't use liquid long-term protectant or cosmoline because they interact with the VCI and stop it from working. These are a great deal, and probably the best available solution for storing metal investments and heirlooms.

Great anti-rust bags!
These are nice anti-rust zipper bags. I wasn't familiar with VCI bags, but know I can see the benefits that they have. I have made jewelry as a hobby for over 20 years. One of the biggest problems can be tarnish and rust. These bags are good protection. It is perfect for raw materials. I can store large amounts of various wires and findings in each bag. It is also good to store some jewelry making tools. They can be prone to rust depending on what chemicals or liquids are used on them. These bags are the best way to store them after cleaning them. There is no need to oil any of them. These bags are sturdy and heavy duty. I would recommend them to anyone.

Bags are huge. Slows rusting, better at delaying tarnishing
You'd think with the dimensions being so obviously displayed I'd be prepared for the size of these bags. Nope, did not picture these heavy ziplock anti-tarnish bags being so big. Although too small for a silver serving platter, a lot of my wife's other silver items fit. Looks like I won't have to clean and polish what fit before the next silver-worthy dinner.I did put some lightly rusted steel wool in one bag to see how it would do. Weeks later, the piece I left out had about the same amount of rust as the piece in the bag; I live in a very dry area, so rust is not a big problem. Think I'll use this bag to hold some metal tools and odd bits in the RV, which does travel to wet climates.

Nothing has rusted
Don't really have a lot of problems with jewelry rusting. All the items I have placed in these bags in the last 4 montha are still nice and dry. They are also corrosion free. We live in on the coast where everything rusts. Even stainless.

Was ist in der tasche? (Apparently metals)
I (like other reviewers) had purchased these for storing jewelry metals (wires and findings). I think the original intent of these (based on the size) is primarily for storing larger industrial metal parts for shipping and storage, but I'm hopeful they will work for the jewelry metals also. Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor poly bags emit a vapor that forms a protective barrier around metal parts to prevent rust and corrosion. So, Science! I received the ordered size and a bonus larger and bonus smaller bag additionally. The bags open and seal closed effectively. I will update over time, if these fail to live up to the hype, but I'm optimistic, and these will definitely help me organize my metals and store some of my tools as well.
