Great Boots
Bought these for my husband and he loves them. He says that they are very comfortable. He does light construction work and is on his feet all day.

Great boots
Bought these boot because I wanted to start "rucking" for fitness. These boots a fantastic. They were true size (mens 10 1/2) with minimal break in time. They run a little narrow which is perfect for me as I have narrow feet. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy the again. I got them during "Amazon Days and paid under $ 90.00 for them.

Moab 3 rocks !!!.....after small alteration
This is the strongest Merrill nylon boot I've owned and I've been quite pleased with how robust it is. After several weeks, I'm still breaking it in but it's a good thing in my case. I alternate around town wearing other mid-weight boots and then this Moab 3 during the process. I'm hoping that this is an indication of long term wear resistance. One thing which I found extremely annoying is the very top lace fastener which slows down lacing and doesn't seem to lend to maintaining easy tensioning of the shoestring as I'm lacing up. After a couple of months, I drilled out the plastic fittings and installed metal speed lace design (Honigo 12 set shoe lace hooks) through Amazon but instead of rivets, I used Chicago screws (and loctite). Wow, what a difference this made for me. I really love this retrofit. I'm even happier now with the Moab 3 and lacing up the boots is even quicker.

Jury is still out
I wore them 2 or 3 times a week for about 18 months. I worked outdoors cutting grass, clearing property & fence lines, gardening, hunting, and operating heavy equipment. Towards the end of this time the soles began to separate from the sides and bottom of the boot. I just got another pair to see if the sole separation was a consistent issue or not. I like the light weight, comfort, and the fit, but if sole separation remains an issue, this will be my last pair of Merrell boots. Time will tell.

Stiff but still comfortable
Is pretty stiff but not too stiff. Has been great so far. After about 15 miles or so on them I’m still impressed. The tread wears/ tears fairly easy though. Still happy with them.

cheap eyelet/ breaks
Feels excellent. Light. Good fit right out of the box. Good sole. Put the right boot on, laced it up. Not tight enough, snugged the laces. Still not tight enough around the top. Pulled again, and the lace pulled right through the upper eyelet which is a plastic loop attached with a rivet. Broke right thru the 1/16 inch plastic. Cheap. If they had used brass, would have held. Now no way to tighten the laces, so back it goes. I consider this a fatal flaw. If they replace it with something solid, I will gladly buy this boot again.
