Liquid Rubber Polyurethane Deck Coating - Textured, Saddle Brown, 4 Gallon

Ill give them 5 stars for now. I decided to change my deck color from dark brown to a lighter cream color, so I ordered 4 gallons, it was delivered with no problems. I came up a bit short so I ordered another 4 gallons. After a few days I got a message saying it was delayed, and a few days later another saying I was getting my money reimbursed, so I ordered another one. A few days later I got a box that looked liked it was used playing fork lift hockey, and it only had an empty bucket in it. I called Amazon and they had me return it and refunded me, and I ordered another. Several days later another delay, then a refund. So I ordered ANOTHER one. Several days later it showed up, no box, but it had been dented and roughed up but the seal was still solid. The product and the support thusfar have been stellar, Ill wait until all the refunds etc have cleared before I finish this review, The seller and product have 5 stars, the refunds and delivery will have to wait. Nut if all stays the same, they will enjoy that rating also, even aside the forklift hockey games

So far so good. This stuff seems pretty amazing on wood. I used this on the outside of some garden boxes and they should last a long time now. The primer was like water and rolled on pretty easy however this stuff is like pancake batter and I found it hard to roll so I brushed it on. Two coats was all I needed.

Buyer beware! Not as advertised. This is a horrible product and is definitely not as advertised. The first problem is that it arrived leaking from the lid of the container, causing a huge mess inside the box. However, the main problem is that it pours out thick, but is very thin and almost translucent once applied. Followed all directions for preparation and application, but there is very little coverage and no rubberization whatsoever. Applied 5 coats and it still looks like a light stain. Wasted an entire weekend trying to make this work and now we’ll have to go purchase a different product and start over. Huge waste of time and money! This product deserves a negative rating but I was forced to give it gave it one star because it would not allow me to post review without a rating. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Very happy with this product. It looks great and works as advertised. Comes in smooth and textured finishes. Polyelastomer coverage, waterproof. Rolls on, and cleans up with water until it dries. Make sure you shake it up or stir it well before use. It's extremely durable. It has a 3-year warranty, but if it lasts for a year or more I'll be happy. I'm going to buy a darker shade next time and see which one we like better. It's not inexpensive but like most things you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Love this, but wish I had not ordered the textured one.

Our deck is only four years old. It's crap. The builder used substandard materials, and the expensive and time-consuming stain we put on it three years ago lasted less than a year. We have debated pulling off all the crappy-quality redwood and cedar and replacing it with composite materials. But we don't have the money for that this year, so I did some research to see if I could find paint that would turn it into something resembling a composite deck. Well, this paint did the trick! I can't speak to its durability because I'm still in the middle of my paint job. But I can talk about how easy it is to apply and what a great waterproof barrier it creates. This paint is thick. It's so thick that it doesn't drip off your brush or roller. And you would think that thick paint would be a PITA to apply. But it isn't. It goes on SO smoothly. I used a brush for most of the railings (I hate painting railings!!) and a brush for the primer coat on the deck, followed by a roller. I used a roller with a thicker nap, which gave the decking some texture. I really like the way it looks and feels. It isn't slippery in the least, and it doesn't burn my bare feet when I walk on the deck in full sun. I did three coats of Liquid Rubber on the rails themselves and six coats on the top of the railing, as well as six coats on the decking. I want to make sure this paint lasts as long as possible because I'm 65 with a bad back and bad hips, and I do NOT want to do this again! Another great thing about this paint is that it cleans up so easily. Given how thick it is, that really surprised me. When I first started looking at this product, the color I needed (which matches my siding perfectly) wasn't available in the five-gallon buckets. So I waited, and a few weeks later, it was and I snapped up two buckets. The color is perfect. I would be willing to bet that by the time I'm done, someone could look at this deck and never know that there's cheap, crappy wood under that beautiful paint. One last thing. I ordered two five-gallon buckets and only received one (the second one got damaged during shipping). I contacted Liquid Rubber, and they rush-shipped another bucket to me the same day. What a great company and great product.

Use your product before it was great, But this time the color was wrong

This is an awesome kind of paint. We put it on a year ago, and haven't noticed a single place where it has chipped or flaked. It survived the rain and snow of our first winter with it on our outdoor decks. The surface is not smooth and appears slightly pebbled, which doesn't bother me. I've been told some people use it locally for pickleball courts, which would have to take a lot of wear.

great product , but poor service from amazon,,,, i have been awaiting a refund more than 3 weeks ......not good enough.........

It it super easy to apply, it look like whipped cream. It cover well, and looks amazing when its dry. I put two coat and I believe it to be enough.

This product exceeded my expectations and i am an extremely fussy person !! . The product impressed me. It was Easy to use spreads beautifully, I was amazed at how the rollers and brushes washed up easy with water after use. My photos shows the steps I took. 1) my deck original...( I cleaned with hot water and bleach) . 2) I Patched holes and seems with all their products & I then applied the liquid rubber primer and 3) the final 2 photos are the finished deck done in 6 coats. Just finished 2 days ago. It's important to do proper prep work 1st. All steps shown and included. Looks great ...and very durable....Love it !!

Wasn't the Best product to buy

Excellent product that should/could have been a 4 star rating, however... We ordered the 20 liter (5 gallon) textured saddle brown. That paint strip on the container matched what we ordered, but when we opened the container the paint was an orangy-brown. Maybe, it would darken after application... We tried two coats and it was nowhere near what we wanted. I called customer service that offered an un-apolegetic response concerning the color snafu, and did not offer a replacement nor any compensation. After discussion, I asked what tints if any could be added - after a long wait - she returned and mentioned that tints could be added - that was it... After searching on the Web, I found what type of tints could be used and ordered Cal-Tint II black (58C$). We were able to match the paint strip on the container and our desired color - it would seem that Liquid Rubber had just not added the black tint to its base. Our "new" color matched the color strip on the container perfectly. So all in all, everything seems to end well - however, the quality control issue was quite poor and the customer service support in our case was dismal, while I had to spend an additional 58$ to get the color we wanted/had ordered.
