Great Set of Pruners
I am pleased with these pruners and I purchased them based on the reviews, but mainly I purchased these cause they are NOT made in China. It's time to stop buying Chinese junk.

The Gruntek small pruning loppers are perfect for trimming hiking trails.
The loppers have helped trim over 100 miles of hiking trails from sticker bushes and tree limbs overhanging trails up to 3/4 " to 1 " diameter. They are small, light and powerful for their size. I like the anvil type with gears because they cut easily. The bypassing type has always had problems with the cutter spreading apart. Anvil loppers do not have that problem. I go on 8 - 10 miles hikes and like the trails clear of obstructions. I did make a side carrier for them that allows easy access and minimal difficulty, maximum comfort carrying them on long treks. A previous review said they are a size between hand clippers and full size loppers and they are perfect for what I do. Great product !!

Works great!
Works amazing. It was able to cut all the branches that need to be cut from several different types of trees. Easy to use and takes very little effort.

The extra oomph
The next step in power beyond hand shears. Small enough to carry around, this item fills the gap between full size loppers and one hand tools.

High quality, but not what I was expecting.
Be aware these are mini loppers (only 18" long), but very well made. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

Good value for useful tool
Relatively compact but effective pruner. Small enough for light, close work. Strong enough for 1 inch diameter cuts. Seems to be well constructed. Comfortable grips.

Great tool for around the yard
Lightweight but strong and a lot easier to use than hand shears or big loppers for avg use.

Reasonably Priced Pruners-Loppers
I really like these Pruning Loppers by Gruntek which I bought on Lightning Deals toreplace a very old pair which are over 10 years old and somewhat rusty. They have an overall length of 45 cm and feel well balanced in the hands, the siliconhandles giving an easy grip.I like the adjustable anvil which can be adjusted as and when required. I have onlyused them on old Buddleia and dead cherry tree branches so far, but am very pleasedwith the results. As a septuagenarian with limited strength I found them easy to use.

Well-made and effective loppers and rose secateurs for tougher stems.
Bought these to replace some bypass loppers that met their end trying to cut through some branches from a felled fir tree. This is my first foray into anvil-type loppers, and they do have a different feel to the bypass type. They appear to be robustly made and are attractively coloured, even if they do look a bit like an aussie cricketer! The gearing action is smooth in use, and it has made clean and easy cuts in overgrown shrubbery and small trees. It claims to handle up to 28mm stems, and it sliced through inch-thick branches with alacrity. In fact, as first impressions go, these may be the best loppers that I have used to date. The blade is sharp and cuts have been clean and highly satisfying. The weight is light - I did actually wonder if the product had been included in the box when it was delivered - but the light weight does not appear to have been realised through a lack of structural strength. My impression is, that these are built to last.I did have concerns that at 47cms these might be too short to be truly useful. While an extra 10cms or so would be useful, and would make them more functional with the extra reach, I am well satisfied with the quality of these loppers and will be considering Gruntek quite seriously when I am looking to buy garden tools in future. I am pleased with my purchase.

Sturdy pair of loppers making short work of everything in the garden
Garden work is the bane of my life. I hate it. I wish I paved over the front and back gardens and turned them into car parks. In the summer it’s a relentless chore. I hate it so much that I’ve neglected it somewhat, and the side bushes (mostly various species of dogwood and pampas) has been left to over grow.In recent months I’ve tried tackling this with nothing but a cheap set of secateurs. This was going nowhere, so I popped on Amazon I had a look at what I could get. I ended up getting these loppers, which arrived quickly. They appeared a bit lightweight, I begin to doubt my purchase, but decided I give them a whirl, and I have to say, they’ve been magnificent. They’ve made short work of branches around an inch or so thick with the minimal of strength needed, and despite being an anvil lopper, the cut is pretty smooth.I cut through living and dead branches like Anakin Skywalker shredding younglings in “Revenge of the Sith”, but with less anger flowing through me, and I kept my legs when I was done. These are a great set of loppers and should find a place in your garden tools set.

These are the best pruning loppers I have bought
These are the best pruning loppers I have bought. Lovely and sharp and easy to work with. Being a somewhat elderly lady I needed something that would do the job without them being overly heavy and these tick all the boxes.
