Good bird box
Sturdy bird box with alternative sized hole reducer/protector to control entry of size of bird.Front of box opens for cleaning, but clip a bit loose so requires wedging to keep front tight. No hook for hanging. Need a long screw through hole in the back to fix box to wall/fence etc.

Versatile and good build quality
For this level of price, the build quality is nice and sterdy. It does not have that nasty paint smell as you would get from some of the cheaper product. The interchangeable opening and the metal top is certainly a nice touch. Doesn't require any additional wood paint for rotting protection. One slight let down is the small nail holding the flap opening, which is a bit flimsy

Solid water tight box the only negative is the lack of a fixing hook
A solid box with treated wood & a metal roof which should help prevent it from rotting, included are two different sized plastic entrance holes to suit different types of birds. It's worth noting that there is no perch as described which is a good thing since it could help preying birds to get access to the chicks & eggs. The negatives are that the box could do with being a bit wider & for the price they should have included fixing hooks.

Very pleased
Needless to say the materials and build quality are not exactly Chippendale, but they are better than many bird boxes I've come across, and the simple mechanism for opening the front makes it easy to both mount and clean out. I got mine for just £5.99 due to the box being tatty, but even at the normal price of around £11 it's one of the best nest boxes I've seen for the money.

Looks Good
Robust construction. However, like most pre-con items, it definitely benefits from a coat of wood preservative before siting. I used Sadolin Clear Matt which also brought out the best in the wood. Just waiting for a resident now!

Well made nesting Box
Very sturdy box with a tin roof, just hoping the birds appreciate it.

Nice Bird Box
At just over £12 this is not the cheapest bird box out there but does look to be well made of solid pine, but with only one fixing hole; at this price I would have expected to find fixing screws supplied though.

No perch but fine otherwise.
Seems pretty good although the fixing system is a bit primitive (a screw hole) even though it works. The details given on Amazon say 'There is a perch for the bird in front of the entrance hole.' There isn't. Looks like it will be easy to clean since the front is hinged.
