Sew Mini Cute Things

My 10 year old loved this sewing kit! I bought it for her on the last day of school so she’d have something to do during the summer. The needles are not too sharp. The directions are straightforward and easy to follow. My daughter was able to sew mostly independently. We purchased this kit a second time to give as a gift to another child (11 year old).

Very kid friendly with good quality felt and accessories. The instructions came with detailed pictures and easy to follow wording. 10/10 recommend for a little one wanting to try out sewing.

The directions were easy to follow and produced great results. I did not know what age these were geared towards. I bought them for my 7 year old, although she helped with some sewing & cutting, it was too complex, I ended up doing the majority of the work. I would say this is a kit meant for 12 +. The main shapes are not precut, they all require tracing from templates provided. You can make so many sewn objects with all of the material in the kit. It is well worth the money and a great gift.

I've never done anything like this before, so I was happy to learn the process of hand sewing these cute little stuffed animals. They're all made out of felt and it comes with plenty of felt, thread, and anything else you'll need. My 10 year old was also able to follow the instructions and figure this out. I think any age younger would need some adult help, or at least a walkthrough the first time. I made the video game controllers for my 5 year old. It definitely would have been over her head, so I think a good age range would be 7+ at the absolute youngest, if they're good at crafting, or more like 10-13 depending on maturity and independency. Anyways, it's great for adults like me who want to make their kids some dolls and stuffed animals, but lack enough skills to just do it on their own in some medium. This is a great intro for sewing. I do have a sewing machine and could see myself transitioning to using that one day to speed up the process. I think it is pretty quick after the first time or two though. I had to read and re-read and follow along, but as I memorized it, I got much quicker and cut the time nearly in half. I love that there are SO many things to make! They're great to be played with as they are, or could even be stuffed animals for dolls like American Girl Dolls or Bitty Babies.

This little mini cute things craft kit was SO much fun to do! I know it's supposed to be for kids, but hey! Are we all not kids at heart? The kit comes with everything you'll need, including instructions. I think that some parental help would be needed for children under 12, but older than that, they shouldn't have too much of a problem figuring them out. The little projects are SO cute! I haven't hand sewn in many years, and I forgot how fun and also relaxing it can be. I would highly suggest this gift for a kid or even an adult who might need something to do with their hands.

Admittedly this was as much fun for me as my kids. It's a hands on way for them to learn about the skill of stitching while making something adorable, that they can keep and proudly show others. This is a bit advanced for little kids but ideal for kids maybe 8-13. I say that as these are small and requires small stitches, cutting accurately and threading the needle. The needles are not sharp which for me personally was frustrating since it is tough to sew on the eyes made of less penetrable material. I get why they are not sharp since this is child appropriate, but it makes it hard to pierce the needle through. Maybe glue included would help for some having a hard time? You do get everything needed to make any of the cute items shown in the book. The instructions are easy to follow with nice pictures showing each step and templates are included for accurate cutting. Everything is high quality and the cost is brilliant considering the to amount of materials included. I honestly wish something like this existed when I was a wee one as I would have been over the moon had this been gifted to me.

Inspiring my daughter to be creative, she has loved making this set and it has given her the skills to catty on past the given products. She is 10 and managed it all on her own.
