Does the magnet cause any issues with car keys that have electronics in them?

I have a 2020 Subaru Forester key fob sitting on a key ring with the Olight Mini 2 for a few months, and have experienced no problems with the magnet. I have discovered that the magnet Likes to stick to a key from time to time, but no biggie.

Can this be used while charging? Like if it runs low can I plug it into a USB battery and use it while it is charging?

No you can not use it while charging because in order to turn on the light you must rotate the head down and to charge it you must loosen the head. As far as it running down on you I have had this light for awhile now never had a problem with it running out of power I used it one for at least a hour on high and it didn't dim as a matter of fact I have only charged it twice since I had it and it has to be over a year now but I don't use it ever single day it's a good little light I think you would like also much better than having to buy button batteries
