Luo Han is another root added to the stevia. I have tried straight stevia and it can be bitter. I LOVE this combination because the luo han cuts the bitterness of the stevia. One packet in my coffee is all I need. It's great with ricotta, unsweetened cocoa and a little vanilla flavoring for a lowfat snack, too.

Does this product have maltodextrin or dextrose in it?

Yes! Made me so mad. I didn't realize it is created mainly from corn AND has a glycemic index of 130; table sugar is only 65! I will not purchase again...I just threw it away.Stevia Extract 186 mgLou Han Guo 25mgOTHER INGREDIENTS: Maltodextrin, Inulin and Calcium Silicate.

What is the sugar equivalent per packet?

1Pack = 1gram Serving. 1 Serving = 186mg Stevia & 25mg Monk Fruit (211mg). That equates to ~22% of a single packet is actual natural sweetener derived, and the rest of the packet (>75%) is synthetic Maltodextrin, Inulin, and Calcium Silicate based filler. With Maltodextrin having a glycemic index of anywhere from 85 - 105 (pure sugar is 100), that makes this sweetener a solid candidate for being false advertising unless the manufacturer starts being more transparent.

How many packets of Stevia come in this item?

Thank you for your question concerning the Kal Sure Stevia. This product contains 100 packets of Stevia. Please contact us if you have any other questions, or if there is something else that we can assist you with. Thank you for choosing Kal, and have a nice day. Matt
