I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised
I was skeptical about LED face masks in general but decided that after 45 years of dealing with acne that I’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that after 3 months of consistent, daily use, my pores were smaller, my skin had a healthy glow and my acne flare-up were significantly reduced and less severe. The instructions clearly state that it takes long term regular usage before results can be noticeable and they are correct. But for me, it is worth the extra few minutes out of my day to achieve the results I have seen. I would highly recommend this mask to anyone with acne, dull skin, rosacea, or fine lines they are wanting rid of. The mask itself works exactly as described with no issues once you get the straps adjusted properly which can take a few days of fine-tune adjustments.

Impressive Mask
I've been genuinely impressed with this LED light therapy mask. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I've seen some real results. The mask is comfortable to wear and pretty easy to fit into my routine. The best part is the variety of treatments it offers. I've been focusing on the settings for fine lines and wrinkles, and my skin definitely looks firmer and smoother. I also appreciate the option for targeting hyperpigmentation, which I've started using on a few spots. It feels like a professional treatment at home.

No more coverup
I've been using this every morning for about seven and a half weeks. I recently realized an old sun spot didn't need coverup anymore. I took a picture and compared it to a "before" picture; both the spot on my right cheek and the small spot on my nose are gone. I've also noticed the concealer that I apply under my eyes goes on more smoothly without the creases I used to get. The mask itself is comfortable, well made, and holds a charge. And this is a small thing, but the user manual I received with it was also informative and easy to read. I tend to get excited about purchases and then disappointed, but this one is living up to my expectations!

Highly recommend
I purchased this on one of the Amazon prime days. I believe I save about $60 from the original price. I have been wanting one and a lot of other company’s were selling g them at a price I could not afford so I was happy when I found this and had kept it in my cart until the prime day came around. It works as it says. Some people write reviews and claimed that the battery did not charge after some time but so far I have not had a problem. I have seen a difference in my wrinkles. My skin has not advanced in the aging proceed since I started using this product. What I like about this is it has an eye guard so you can watch tv or read while you are using it.

Great product; highly recommend
I have a couple light therapy and EMT devices that I have tried in the past. One of them gave very warm sensation but did not produce any noticeable differences on my skin. The other one does provide an instant lift which however is very transient. The device also requires a good 15-20 min undivided attention to use and massage the face followed by face washing then skin care, which is very time consuming. Towards the end of last year, I became increasingly interested in a non-hand held device that can produce longer effects specifically for sagging and age spots reduction. I did some research and literature search, and saw that red and near-infrared light at the wavelength of 633 nm and 830 nm showed most evidence for collagen production and wound healing/rejuvenation that can help with spot fading. There are some very costly light therapy masks on the market that produce these wavelengths, but looking through the options, I found this GYH mask which provides similar wavelengths with well characterized wavelength variance (+/- 10 nm) with a radiance of 30 mW/cm2. This specification is particularly interesting to me because I suspect I may be sensitive to heat-induced melasma. These specific measures with the device gives me confidence that the company understands what they are trying to achieve so I decided to give it a try. So far I have been using the mask for over 4 months before writing this review, and I’m happy with the results. While it is hard to tell if the mask helps fade age spots, it definitely improves my skin tone with a more youthful look which seems to be related to better collagen support in the cheeks. My complexion is also much improved with radiance and natural blush, less so with a yellow undertone that I have experienced in the past few years. I believe this is resulting from improved circulation in the region with the right lights. After testing this, I also encouraged my daughter to try out the blue light + near infrared light combination for acne treatment and she noticed a rather instant reduction of redness. Overall this mask is working great; I am very happy with the results and will be looking out for future products from GYH.

I’ve seen these and thought they look a bit of a gimmick. I’ve tried other hand held LED devices before but didn’t see any results so I was sceptical. I fully read the instructions before starting and re read. I also read various articles and documents from the national library of medicine to see if there was proof that this actually worked or if there were any dangers in using it. Yes, light therapy can yield good results and the only danger noted so far is to the eyes. It’s important to protect your eyes. After washing my face and wiping the inside of the mask over I placed this on my face. I realised I could see light from around the rubber eye protectors no matter how much I tightened the mask with the adjustable straps I could still see light. The first few times I used it I selected the red LED and infrared mode and left on for 10 minutes with my eyes squeezed tight. The hardest bit was squeezing my eyes tight for this long coupled with hearing my phone ping and not being able to look at it! The built in timer shuts the device off after 10 minutes. From what I’ve read 20 minutes daily is a good amount of time to see results. The first week I stuck to 10 minute sessions. The second week I ramped it up to 20 minutes. Just repeating and going again on the 10 minute cycle. I really did notice a difference. My skin looked plumper and more hydrated. Even after a few sessions in the first week I was surprised to see a difference. I stopped using for the third week as I went for a hyaluronic acid treatment. I really think this mask was giving me better results than the hyaluronic acid injections. I’ve started using this mask again and I really do notice a difference after just a few sessions so I can see that using long term is going to give great results. I would never have believed this without trying. My one tip would be to purchase some winkease or similar sunbed style eye protectors so you can relax knowing your eyes are safe whilst wearing the mask. Although I suffer from hormonal spots, I have refrained from using the blue light for fear of skin pigment changes like melasma. I have a lot freckles and know my skin is sensitive. This LED face mask comes at a price but I’d say it is value for money with the results I’ve seen as it is so much cheaper than going for beauty treatments elsewhere. This is the only LED light therapy device that has made a difference for me.

This LED light therapy mask is super easy to use, the mask features soft silicone eye supports & an easily adjustable/removable foam chin rest to ensure the mask does not sit directly on the face which makes it safer to use, this allows the light to reach the neck area & also allows for greater air flow during use. The elasticated straps are adjustable to suit your size requirements, the straps are made from a nylon, polyester & Lycra mix which is durable & comfortable to wear, next to the right hand side strap joint on the inside of the mask is a charging port where the supplied USB cable can be inserted to recharge. I love that is it cable free during use as it allows for greater freedom of movement, I can wear this whilst I’m completing other chores & tasks which saves me time, I previously used a cheaper handheld radio frequency light therapy wand prior to this mask which covered a much smaller surface area this made it more time consuming to undertake which seriously restricted the amount of time I could devote to it, with this it’s no longer an issue! It comes with a remote control for ease of use with 4 different lighting modes set on a 10 minute auto shut off program including red light to stimulate collagen production & reduce wrinkles, near infrared light to promote blood circulation, repair damaged skin & even skin tone, blue light to cleanse, reduce scars & enlarged pores & red light + near infrared light mode to repair & renew. The additional benefit of using this light therapy mask rather than my handheld radio frequency device is that it does not require the use of creams or superconductive gels to use in conjunction with this device, as my light therapy wand did which also saves on money, mess & time. It comes with a soft velvet drawstring storage bag for safe compact storage & easy transportation when not in use, the outer box both looks & feels excellent quality which is perfect for presentation purposes if buying as a gift. I also love the fact that I can use this again & again free of any embarrassment in the comfort of my home rather than repeatedly paying for individual professional skin treatments, it actually feels quite relaxing to use & improves the appearance of my skin in the process.

Very simple to use. It can only be controlled by the remote, the button on the mask is purely to turn it off and on. The two red light modes are quite bright around the eyes so best to shut your eyes while using but the blue and NIR mode are fine. Takes 4 weeks of daily use before any visible improvements so it’s a long term commitment. In terms of wearing it does feel slightly claustrophobic, especially if wearing lying down. A couple of nostril holes would have been better on it as it eventually heats up with your breathing, adding to the claustrophobic feeling.

Seems to be a difference in my appearance

EDIT: I said I would update in 3 month’s so here it is… I’ve added another photo to show you. It’s been a while since I’ve had so many compliments on a night out where people thought I was in my 40’s yet I’m nearly 60! My skin looks more glowing and the lines have definitely softened. I used both of the red light settings. This mask arrived extremely well presented so would make for an ideal postal gift. It looks and feels quality. As with a lot of these types of products it feels daunting opening the pack just in case it’s complicated but not with this! The parts are simple. You get the mask, a remote control (battery included) a charging cable and easy to read instruction booklets. Remove the battery protection plastic to activate the remote control. Plug the mask in to charge. The charge port is under the top strap and sit down and read the instructions. This pack also includes a large velvet drawstring pouch if keeping the box is too bulky for you. Basically the mask has 4 light treatment’s. In order on the remote control = 1/ Red (Bright red light)= Aging skin/firming/wrinkles 2/ NIR = (Near-infrared Light) Promoting collagen. Also Red (Pale red light) 3/ Blue = Acne 4/ NIR + Red = Both treatments at the same time. (As above) Press one big button on the remote control to click through the 4 settings. When charging the light flashes red. When charged it turns green. Once charged all you do is turn the mask on. (Button on the front of the mask) Adjust the straps for a good fit for your head, put on and use the remote to click on the setting you require. It takes about 4 weeks for noticeable results to start showing. Use on a clean face. Make sure eye pads and head bands are comfortably tightly sealed to prevent light shining into your eyes. A couple of examples for daily usage recommendations = Wrinkles & collagen = Red light + NIC. 10 mins. Results 8-10 weeks. Acne = Blue light 10 mins day 1. Red & blue day 2. Alternate between the two lights for results in 2-4 weeks. Please refer to the instruction manual for more combinations for different skin conditions. This is a long term commitment of using it daily, for only 10 mins though and due to the mask being wire free you can carry on with your day or sit down and have a relaxing treatment. It turns off automatically after 10 mins so no clock watching. As a glasses wearer I found the display of the remote control very faint to read so had to learn the sequence the lights were in or check with glasses on before use. You can watch tv and see clearly when in use. It’s not claustrophobic. It didn’t get too hot. The forehead and chin components are the hardest on the face so spend some time getting the straps just right. As a 57 yr old menopausal woman that is losing collagen and starting to get wrinkles I’ll have to update in 3 months time approximately late December to be able to do a proper review but potentially this looks a very good quality unit so worth a try.
