Don't listen to the other reviews!
No, this is not an ODrive product, but if you know what you're doing, it shouldn't matter. It does not connect to the ODrive GUI, so you must configure settings through the ODriveTool CLI, which the manufacturer provides a very detailed guide for. I'd highly recommend the online documentation from SequreMall, who also sells this controller. I personally got this FOC controller working well with a large 40-pole outrunner BLDC motor, using an MT6701 ABZ encoder. While this controller has a GPIO connector, I found it easiest to connect an ABZ (quadrature) encoder directly to the encoder port. The controller runs a (custom?) version of the ODrive 3.6 firmware, but it does show up in ODriveTool as odrv0, rather than the generic dev0 interface that some controllers have. I've been able to flash different versions of the firmware to the STM32 controller onboard using USB, if your project requires that. I really liked that all of the necessary wires/connectors are included, which allows you to design the supporting hardware easily. If you are designing your own PCBs to connect this to, all of the IO ports are JST-GH with 1.25mm pitch and the cables included are male-to-male. **UPDATE: make sure to check the pinout of each connector - some of the wire colors don't match the diagram but the pinout printed on the PCB is correct.** Highly recommend this budget FOC controller.

Hard to use
This item does NOT support 56V. The highest voltage you can use it with is 36V. This is a huge bummer as this whole board is capable of working at 56V, but the voltage meter on the board can only go up to 36V, making is fail at higher voltages. Also the firmware for this board is out there somewhere as I got hands on the source code, but flipsky could've easily just published the firmware which they didn't.

Works great aslong as you check the manufacturers guide
It's working fine, I bought a STlink v2 just in case, but the board is working fine. I'd recommend checking out the guide found directly on the Flipsky website for proper guidance and using the board (works perfectly fine with the odrive python tool if you follow the website guide). Build quality seems good, my only issue is at my own fault that the connections for the encoder are not what I was expecting, but it's still working fine without. And I ordered a kit to help adapt the connections. Overall it seems to be a very good cheap Odrive copy that works for my intended use as long as you follow the manufacturer's guide.

Good
As expected. But warning that you cannot enter dfu mode with sensors or motors attached.

No GUI
Junk. Does not work with Odrive GUI or in sensorlessmode using odrivetool. Trying to drive a simple burshless motor and can connect but motor never spins.

keep in mind they are generic
these generic controllers are missing alot of features.

Waste of time to get to work
You will waste a lot of time trying to get this to work. Poor documentation. Claims to be old version of an open source ODrive board. It’s not. Finicky to get it to talk to an old ODrive tool version. Most of the commands don’t work quite right.

Waste of money and time
Not compatible with Odrive GUI and can’t flash odrive software because no longer compatible. Waste of money and time.

Works great with FFBeast, but expensive
Bought this to build force feedback steering wheel using hoverboard motor, works great with FFBeast firmware, though this is too expensive here, buy from somewhere else and you can get it for about ₹3k excluding about ₹1k for shipping.

gone, dead, died... didn't even make it through my robots maiden voyage.
After finally building my robot and coding all the code for it the controller died on it's maiden voyage. not sure why either, one day it works the the next day odrivetool no longer finds the drive, usb is gone on it. buyers beware, your USB my go out at anytime, even if you just get it.
