I used this Forney powdered flux with some bare brass brazing rod I had and it worked fine for what I needed. Just preheat the rod with your torch, dip it in the flux and your ready to braze. I think the price here on Amazon for an 8 oz container was very reasonable as well.

Works great on brass

1. Not a liquid, it's powder. Description is incorrect. 2. No instructions whatsoever. Should I make a paste with water? Alcohol? Beer? 3. Not for aluminum. This was suggested because I had aluminum brazing rods in my cart. Very misleading. 4. Best for high temp Oxy- Acetylene brazing of ferrous metals. I was brazing two concentric rings of 6062 Aluminum using MAP. Brazing rods did not work. Maybe it was because this was the wrong flux?

This flux worked absolutely perfect for an HVAC silver soldering job that I recently did to help my father. You only need a small amount of flux and as soon as it melts and turns clear touch your solder to the fluxed area and it gets sucked into the seam like magic. This is a lot of solder and should last for many years worth of soldering jobs. Highly recommended for professionals and amateurs like myself!

Good brazing flux

It dint work out the way I expected, my rookie mistake.

I couldn't use this Flux because because I didn't get the "steel" 1inch by 1/16th square tubing I ordered and got aluminum tubing instead.
