These are very strong. We used them to hang up blackout curtains in our bedroom. The curtains fell, but not because of the strips - the bad quality paint our landlord uses came off the wall. So, they're stronger than paint. Solid product.

Ah, Command Window Hooks—the dream of a damage-free curtain-hanging experience! Too bad that dream turns into a 2 AM heart attack when your curtains come crashing down like an uninvited ghost. I followed every instruction to the letter—cleaned the wall, waited 24 hours, added curtains one side at a time over 48 hours—only for the entire setup to violently betray me in the dead of night. Not only did they fail, but they took my curtain rod down with them, nearly punching a hole in the wall and making me question every life choice that led to this moment. Thinking maybe I was the problem, I bought replacement strips and gave them another shot. Spoiler alert: They flopped again. The only thing these hooks successfully hold up is my regret for ever purchasing them. The sad part? I stocked up on multiple packs for different rooms. Now I have a pile of expensive disappointment. To top it off, even when they stay up (which is only when they’re EMPTY), the rod placement is so close to the wall that my curtains look smushed and sad. If you need a hook that holds nothing but your broken dreams, these are perfect. Otherwise, grab a drill, some real hardware, and spare yourself the stress.

Should be negative five stars! I really hate this product! In fairness to 3M: I own several 3M products and the adhesive lines are the only ones that have failed me. I bought five of these curtain wall hooks sets. The Amazon return date expired and I was able to get some decent money back for four sets from 3M after several back and forth emails - a few annoying and unnecessarily asking for additional details. The fifth curtain rod holder set finally failed me and fell down only after I got a refund from them. I won’t pursue a refund for that, however I will give credit to 3M for the refund of the four sets though. Painted walls: I was hoping to keep my apartment walls damage free and not have to paint when I leave. I bought five sets of these curtain wall hooks for an apartment as a temporary solution in hopes that it would make my move-out easier since I don’t anticipate staying long. Unfortunately, they all fell and ripped paint off on some walls. I now have to paint some of the walls where the paint peeled off. Despite the claim, the adhesive does not adhere well to painted walls. Every place I have ever lived at has spackling on the painted walls. Therefore these walls have texture which contradicts the product’s description and picture that it works on painted walls. All five of my sets failed and fell down causing scratches and even paint ripped off from some of the walls from the curtain holders falling. Temperature and humidity Sensitive: Every window where the products failed and fell down were where the sun would shine at. Only one lasted until the sun started shining more in the back of my home. Also, any heater nearby impacted them and I had a few fail during the winter and had to reapply a new adhesives. As the summer heat came, one by one they would fail. I would come home and find curtains on the floor and scratched and damaged walls. Adhesive Strength: The product description says that it can hold up to ten pounds. In my experience it can’t. My curtains and rods combined don’t weigh that much. I bought some very flimsy aluminum light weighted curtain rods from Amazon. I don’t think the combined weight exceeded five pounds. I think if I had added another middle wall hook it may have worked but and held up better but too late - too much wasted time, labor, and money. Conclusion: Don’t buy! I hate this product so much that I felt like imitating that scene in the movie “Office Space” where they take the copy machine out in the field. This product really made me upset, frustrated and disappointed. This product does not work as advertised. Aforementioned, every place I lived at has spackling on the walls so if your wall has any texture I don’t recommend buying this at all. I would even question the adhesive strength claim of ten pounds as well as its durability due to temperature changes. This product was a headache for me. Since I will have to do paint repair because of this failed product, I bought some expensive industrial french style curtain rods. I am very pleased and happy about how they look despite the fact I had to drill and eventually patch and paint over the holes when I eventually move out.

Used these to put a curtain over the kitchen door window in the home I am renting. Needed more privacy as the neighbors at the backside of the house could see right into our kitchen. In my rush to put them up, I skipped the step of cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol. It didn't seem to matter; these Command hooks have stayed up well in spite of my snafu. The only thing wrong with them, which is not that visible due to the curtains, is that there is a visible seam that runs down the center. My command towel bars don't have that so it seems to be something with these rod hooks and how they are made. Not a deal breaker for me as they are doing what I want them to do and look pretty good, but should be mentioned.

Worked well to hold curtain rod and blackout curtain. Steps in instructions seem odd but seems to help. I have rough plaster not drywall. First time, one side fell off wall. On second i did steps as described and had held up so far (weeks). Do note that they are removable but once removed ( or fall off) you will need a replacement pack of the stickers to reapply. You can also substitute the stickers with those for pictures. They have velcro on them so can be reused. Also any pulling down on curtains ( or whatever you’re hanging) can release the stickers.

I got these because I am too lazy to put holes in the walls in my apartment. They’re great so far! I was worried about the weight capacity but they hold strong even with one whole cat hanging off the curtains. She’s about 11 lbs for reference. I’m mostly confident that although she has rediscovered her love of ruining everything nice in my home, she won’t rip these off the wall. Good product. Easy to put up.

These worked super well in my apartment. The curtains I bought were pretty heavy, so I ended up using three of these (one in the middle) but I'm not sure how necessary that was. I love the command brand, has never let me down! They are always durable and this color matched my bedroom furniture well.

As an apartment dweller, I've grown to love and trust Command products for their damage-free, no-drilling solutions. I've successfully used other Command hooks to hang curtains in my apartment for years. In fact, I have metal Command hooks that have securely held my insulated blackout curtains for over six years without a single problem. So when I saw these hooks that were specifically designed for curtain rods, I was excited. Unfortunately, they've been a major disappointment. I followed the instructions exactly, cleaned the wall properly, and let the adhesive cure for more than 24 hours before hanging the curtain rods. When they started failing, I even bought fresh adhesive strips, thinking maybe I had a bad batch. It didn't help. The hooks simply keep pulling away from the wall. One double window repeatedly fell even after I added a third hook for extra support, and I finally gave up and replaced them with traditional screw-in curtain rod brackets. The other two windows held for a while, but another hook let go without warning last night. I think the real problem is the design. The support hook is at the top of the bracket, which seems to place all of the stress on the adhesive strip. By comparison, the standard Command hooks that have held my curtains for years support the weight from below, putting the force on the hook instead of constantly pulling the adhesive away from the wall. I've seen other reviewers suggest replacing the included adhesive strips with the Command hook-and-loop (picture hanging) strips. That might improve the performance, but I bought these because they were supposed to be a simple, purpose-built solution for hanging curtain rods. I don't want to keep wondering when the next one is going to crash to the floor. I'm a longtime fan of Command products, which is why this review disappoints me to write. In my experience, this particular design just doesn't live up to the reliability I've come to expect from the brand.

Great! I can not do DIY & so bought these. Very strong & even with constant opening & closing of curtains no movement from them.
