Make SURE it is flashed/programmed!
Buyer beware, some sellers are shipping these remote start modules to you without it being flashed/programmed first! The remote start will NOT work if it is not flashed with the firmware! If you install it and it has not been flashed the vehicle may still start with the key if you leave the module hooked up but it will not start at all if you just unplug the module and leave the T-harness in place. They may or may not be selling these at a substantially reduced cost compared to ones that are programmed. You will know it is not flashed after basic install when the light only ever blinks red at a steady rate and pressing the programming button on the module does not change the light. That is not that big of a deal IF you have someone local that can do the flash for you for a reasonable price. Flashlogic only deals with licensed shops, not individuals, so even if you had the required cable to hook up for flashing, you may not get access to the software to actually do the flash program from Flashlogic to do it yourself. In my case I can not find an authorized dealer within 100 miles. There are shops around that sell other brands that apparently use the same cable and software but none of them would touch it since they did not sell it or install it. One said they would flash it if they installed it but wanted a ridiculous amount of money to do so and as soon as I told them I did not need them to install it they promptly said they would not flash the module for me and hung up the phone. Luckily I own an automotive repair shop and was able to qualify as an installer so I could flash my own after I purchased the required cable. The website makes you enter your address and cross references that with UPS or FedEx I guess to verify it as a business so you may not be able to get away with using your home address. I used the new app for flashing the unit as the old web based version only worked correctly with the now defunct Internet Explorer web browser. Flashing the unit was simple using the new app. It has drop down menus for selecting the vehicle in order to get the correct firmware and I was done in only a couple of minutes. You can program all of the available features while flashing the module so you don't have to go thru the confusing process of doing it on the vehicle by counting button presses and flashing lights. I highly suggest doing that now if you don't want the default options. The options vary by vehicle but include things like horn chirp length, remote button press combination to activate remote start, run time for remote start, and several other options. You should be able to find the available options that can be programmed in the instructions available on the Flashlogic website. If possible, check the seller's actual business website so you can contact them for verification of programming before you order. If they tell you they don't then make sure you can get it programmed locally before you purchase it because some shops wont program it if they don't sell and/or install it. With that out of the way, BASIC installation is simple enough that most anyone capable of getting into semi-awkward positions (such as laying on your back in the floor and reaching into small places to work by feel) should be able to install this unit with just a few basic tools in a reasonably short amount of time. You will likely need to go to the Flashlogic website for installation instructions or for information about changing the default settings since no instructions are included in the box since these are intended for professional installers. Of coarse the instructions available from Flashlogic website are NOT vehicle specific and are only general instructions as to where each wire/connector is to be hooked up. If you need more specific instructions about where those wires are and how to get to those connectors then you will probably need youtube or google. It is still an easy enough job that you should not worry about not being able to do it yourself, at least as far as a basic install is concerned. A full install will require a bit more knowledge & skill, but not much, since it may require drilling a hole & running a wire for the hood switch that prevents the remote start from activating if the hood is open. This is a safety switch used in order to prevent accidental harm to someone working on the engine. You will also be splicing in a couple wires for the park lights and driver's door so just some small amount of knowledge about how to properly splice wires would be helpful if you want a full install. However those wires and switches are not mandatory to make the remote start function so you don't have to deal with them if you don't want to. I would advise at least applying the included warning label somewhere conspicuous under the hood to alert anyone working on the vehicle to the potential danger of an inadvertent remote start though. The diagnostic mode also uses the park lights to blink a code for any faults. If you don't hook up that portion then you have no idea why it's not working. Could be a hood switch, or a sticking brake switch, or no tach signal, or it may just be in valet mode. The module also turns on the park lights as a visual indication that the vehicle is running so you know at a glance that it has in fact started. So while its not required to make the remote start work, it could be helpful if it doesn't work or if you want to know at a glance if it is actually running. Up to you if that is something you want.I give 5 stars for ease of basic installation, 3.75 stars for ease of full installation, 2 stars for the hassle of trying to get it programmed in the event the one you receive isn't already programmed, 4 stars for price compared to vehicle dealer remote start install.Over all about 4 stars.

Doesn’t get any easier!
This was a home run. Seriously the easiest to install, took me a little longer just so I could get the wires perfectly zip tied. Be carful not to lock your key in the car if it’s programmed to lock after you turn it off in the setup process. ( I did and had to use a hanger in ) Just make sure you call around to your local car audio stores and find one that will flash it before you order. Cost me $10 My wife still doesn’t know her van has it and won’t until Christmas morning in a few more days.

No regrets
Easy to install once you have an understanding of your wiring in the vehicle. Instructions could have been better. Wiring diagrams provided left a lot more questions than they explained so Google was a friend here. Did need the programmer to get it to work correctly so I'd recommend budgeting for that out of the gate. All in all a product worthy of 5 stars for it's convenience and simplicity. No regrets

It is not programmed!
I bought this for my 2008 Dodge Caravan, It is fairly easy to install. But...... I overlooked the part that says it will have to be programmed by a dealership. So it didn't work. And I still haven't got it programmed yet. And I have two of them. You can to their website and suppose to be able to program it. But you have to be a technician or it will not let you.

Remote Start works but.....
Remote start works great but.... I have 2011 Dodge Challenger with push to start, so after remote starting when i get in the car to drive i have to cut it off and start it up again due to pushing the brake which cuts off the remote start function. Now i could remove the push button and use my fob as a key but thats not what i want to do. All in all godd product works amd does what it supposed to do.

Auto start works great on my diesel truck
Auto start works great on my diesel truck. 2012 Dodge Ram with Cummins. Very straight forward install. The programming is a little squirrelly but you just have to trudge through it. Once done it's awesome.

Product works great. But you must have it programed or it ...
Product works great. But you must have it programed or it will not work. I had to call around to a few car audio installers till I found one who would program it. Tried calling Best Buy as they sell the product. They would not program it as they did not install it. Found a place 20 minutes away, it was programed in under 5 minutes and car started on first try. It's been working ever since.

Ridiculously easy.
Amazingly easy to install, but you MUST have the programming cable. Literally took 10 minutes after flashing the unit to install in a Grand Caravan, and the includes taking down the dash pieces, plugging in, pairing to the system and putting everything back together. I can't imagine an easier item, and not to mention saving several hundred dollars at a professional shop.
