Internal slice length is about 5.25"

At the bottom and it is easy to slide it out from a side and wash it.

Q: Does the bagel function toast one side or both?

It toasts the inside's of the bagel if you place them as the picture shows. So in bagel mode.. only the inside/center area turns on.
