Doctor Who - The Auntie Matter

The next best thing to a DVD of Tom Baker's Doctor Who is one of these, Big Finish, audio adventures.Briefly, you get a wonderful NEW story with a full cast and they are a lot of fun.This one features The 4th Doctor and Romana who are having a break in Edwardian London.It is a pastiche of Bertie Wooster and no complaints from me it's an enjoyable romp and the play on words 'The Auntie Matter' really sums it up.Bliss.

The Doctor and Romana hide from the Black Guardian in England in the 1920's and come across a sinister alien taking over bodies. A typical short and sweet 2 part audio starting off the 2nd series of 4th Doctor adventures with Tom Baker back as the 4th Doctor and the late Mary Tamm back as the original Romana. These short 2 parters are good fun and this comes across like Jeeves and Wooster with aliens complete with an upper class twit who wants to marry Romana who unsurprisingly wants nothing to do with him. It's amusing, almost a farce in places sending up British period dramas.
