Accurate and Easy to Use
Perfect. Just wanted a BP monitor for reassurance as I am of a certain age and thought it would be useful to keep an eye on my blood pressure.Used it three times when delivered and it gave around the same reading each time which is also near my last reading at Drs, so I’m confident it’s accurate. Glad I got it.

Good, but
Easy to set up. But arm band is not big enough. My arm is approximately 36 cm, and the velcro attached band often fail while the band is inflating

Very High Quality Product indeed
My wife was recently diagnosed during a medical checkup as having slightly raised blood pressure & prescribed a suitable pill to take daily, & loaned a blood-pressure monitoring device by our local GP practice to self-test at home for a fortnight & asked to jot down the results. (This is because "White Coat" syndrome, the act of actually travelling to, waiting in & going into a doctor's surgery to have this service performed, can raise blood pressure in itself, leading to false readings). And guess which monitoring unit she was loaned? Yes, precisely this same identical Omron basic unit, so as far as I'm concerned, this unit is NHS approved, although of course, don't quote me on this. But it was this self-same piece of kit.So I bought her this product a couple of days ago on a whim, noting the extremely good price, not knowing it was the same thing, as she'd been prescribed a new higher-dose medicine & asked to report back every 3 weeks or so. But she instantly recognised it as the same unit her practice had loaned her some weeks earlier. The product oozes quality, robustness & reassurance, being built to industrial standards, believe me, & is easy & straightforward to use. Even the box it comes in is glossy & high quality. The arm-band supplied is adjustable & comfortable, fits my wife's arm perfectly & even fits me (a 6 foot pretty robustly-built male), & the machine auto-inflates the armband very quietly & gently when the auto-test button is pressed. No hassle, no discomfort. It even monitors your pulse/heartrate & squeals if it's too high apparently! There is an extremely comprehensive set of instructions with it, but basically the unit is automatic & simplicity itself to work & a test takes about 1.5 minutes & no 'White Coat syndrome' doing it at home in one's chair & the results are displayed on a very large & clear LCD screen. It works off 4 little AAA batteries (first ones supplied). It looks very sleek & professional too.Every piece of this bit of kit is robust, well-made & would clearly last for years, & it even looks very nice & shiny, & comes with a nice little storage bag (yes, you guessed it.... high quality bag!) & a pre-printed empty chart on which to note your readings if you wish to, to monitor any changes.I am extremely impressed by this product, have absolutely no doubt that its readings are 100% accurate if you follow the simple instructions, and at the current price Amazon is selling it, an absolute unbeatable bargain. If you're looking for a blood pressure monitor, have no hesitation in buying this unit: it's an absolute steal at the current Amazon price, easily worth 4 times the asking price, & is actually quite fun to use..... Providing the readings it gives you are within normal parameters (clearly explained in the instructions), of course!!And if they aren't, get to the doctor's pronto, as it may just save your life.

Best £16.70 I've spent in ages !!
I went to the nurse at my local doctor as I was concerned about headaches I was getting. I was told that my blood pressure was 133/91 (mild hypertension). I was concerned because although there is a hereditary link on my maternal side and some of my siblings are on beta blockers, I class myself as mega healthy. At most, I drink half a bottle of wine with a friend once a week and even that is rare. I do not smoke, I jog twice a week, bikram yoga once a week. Rarely eat red meat, genuinely follow a low fat regime and have a BMI of 25 and a cholesterol count of 5.5. I am not stressed at all in my personal or professional life.Ignore the bad reviews of this product. It does what it says on the tin. I initially thought that it was a dud when readings were all over the place. Diastolic pressure going from 88 to 99 in the space of two minutes !!!! I went to the nurse at work and the readings were all over the place too. She said I was stressing, I was. Finally I started to relax and the readings started to be consistent. How I went from 133/92 to 128/75 in one month !!!!!!!!!!!!!Essential Oils - I came across people online waxing lyrical about the benefits of essential oils in treating high blood pressure. I used ylang, ylang, lavender and sweet marjoram which I put in a diffuser and had on night and day in the house. I also massaged it raw onto the soles of my feet every evening and mixed the residue on my hands with a carrier oil and massaged around my neck.Milk Thistle - I took milk thistle in an attempt to detox the chemicals from my body after 20 years of drinking aspartame in sugar free drinks. I had no idea of the risks involved until the nurse at the surgery told me.Water ! Water! Water ! - I had no idea that lack of water ( I hate water) can cause high BP. I drunk 84 oz of pure filtered water every day, which equated to half my body weight in ounces. I love water now. I have a filter jug on my desk right now. Google dehydration and high blood pressure. You're in for a shock.Multi Vitamin - I took a good multi vitaminOrganic hibiscus tea three times a day. I try to drink the first cup on rising with a touch of honey, it is a diuretic and I lost a lot of weight. I also made up a jug of the stuff and put it in the fridge - very refreshing.Baby Aspirin - 75mg Enteric tablets. Two at night. One month later, I went back to the nurse and took this BP machine with me. She took my pressure on her machine and mine and it came out the same. 128/75, even the other two readings were consistently the same. For such a small price, you get the chance to keep a check on your bp in your own time. Best £16.70 I've spent in a long time.

Takes 3 attempts to get a reading due to error messages
Bought this as have to monitor my BP at the request of my GP. Each time I try to take a reading the machine starts to inflate the cuff and then I get an error message . I usually have to try 3 times just to get a reading . The other frustrating point is that the air that has already started to inflate the cuff stays in so when it does finally work the cuff feels even tighter . Really disappointed
