Definitely worth it
Worked great for sleeping my atx cables , the pins pop out of the housing smoothly and don't damage the pins at all , wish I had bought one sooner , worth every dollar

Worth the money, saves frustration
I wish I bought this first instead of wasting my time and money on the universal key sets. Very easy to use on mini fit jr. Seems like a good build quality. Fits nice. Worth the money, saves lots of frustration. Like others have said, make sure you're buying for the right molex size

Great little unitasker.
There are cheaper DIY alternatives out there (the best of which are staples!!!), but nothing will work as fast, as accurately, as neatly and as ergonomically as this tool. For a single use tool it's not cheap. The result, however, will speak for itself. Don't buy this tool if you only have to work on one plug. If you have a lot of GPU plugs that need modification, or need to pull the pins of an ATX 24 pin cable. This is it! Also, this tool has a push button that allows you to eject the pins from the plastic housing without damage to the pin itself. And once you are done the pins will snap back into the housing with a satisfying 'click.' This is a 5 star product. No question. And well worth the price I paid for it.

Great build quality and functions as desired.
Works great, got to be careful when using as to not bend the pins but does what I need and great build quality

Works surprisingly well
I didn't want to shell out the $ for a Molex-branded tool, and kept my fingers crossed that this would work OK. I was a bit surprised how well it did work - absolutely recommended, especially if the tool's on your own dime and not something you need to use every day.

Unacceptable functionality (FIXED ISSUE)
On mini-fit jr, it failed to extract pins. Did extract sockets. Did 8. Prongs bent. Very difficult to insert. Just failed to perform as advertised. Returned. !edit 10/5/24! JRready customer service contacted me and used my feedback to redesign the tool, sent me a video, and a new tool. I can planely see they have made the prongs thinner. The revised tool functioned very well on extracting both pins and sockets on Mini-fit jr. The tool's spring loaded ejection pin is a vast improvement over the older simple prongs and the thinner prongs fit inside the housing properly. I am pleased with the tool now and impressed with company service. I would recommend JRready and advise to reach out to them with any issues. !2nd edit! Increased 1star to 4stars. Added FIXED to title. Note: I didn't increase to 5 stars as issue shouldn't have occurred at all. But nobody is perfect.

Even with arthritis, easy-peasy once you get familiar with it.
Faced with a couple of new spendy workstation builds + fed up with 'staple' removal method as seen on YT videos, I wanted to make 100% custom PSU cables this time and ditch with the 'one length fits all' stock cables. And as builder's know, a few stock molex minfit-jr's need to be re-purposed for such a task which can be a PITA! So after trying other low budget throw-away and frankly, cheesy tools, I broke down and suffered additional build delays ordering the JRready DAP-D173 tool and receiving it not knowing how it worked. Looked good but a little pricey having reflected on the funds I already spent on frustrating 'tools' I had already spent what they were asking for the JRready DAP-D173. Oh well. But it paid off and now here to report it worked fine with a few practice runs aided, in my case, by a lighted 3X magnifying desk lamp. I quickly (like 20 minutes) learned to do multiple pin removals (not one at a time) and pull them all away from the housing with one pull! No problem. The spring loaded ejection pin is the key advantage for this tool. Learn to insert tool to proper depth and with co-ordination using the the muscular portion of the palm of your hand below the pinkey finger-- push the plunger towards the housing which pushes the tool pin to eject the connector pin and you'll have it made.

When you insert the two rods into the socket it comes out easily

This removal tool is one of the best I've used for this style of pin, the spring loaded release is great. If you often struggle to remove pins, this will save you alot of time and frustration. Good value for money 💰

The replacement tip i received do not fit my DAP-D173, the extractor pin is wider than the slot in the replacement pin. Both my original tip and the replacement tip have the same "P-D173" marking on them but they look slightly different. My original tip has a small shoulder or step neer the base and the new one has a straight slot and a sharper slope on the face near the base. I didn't take any pictures but in these closup of pictures from the listing you can see the two diffrent designs. If you change your design you should change your part number!!!

After testing some other extractors, my hopes were not very high however this tool has work perfectly so far to repin multiple sets of PSU cables. Replaceable tip is also a bonus.
